anyone know where i can get a new rear mudguard for my 04 / txt 280 pro don't fancy paying

Son has an 02 250 Pro and he was out on it today. Started warm engine and selected first gear.No problem. Let out the clutch and pulled away and there was a "strange Noise" then it jumped out of gear. He selected nuetral and restarted engine. No noise till he selected first again and again it jumped out. Pushed it back to the van. Anyone experienced this before i start stripping it down?

hey, what are the 1999/2000 txt 249 like, on reliability, some one wants to swap one for my beta. how do i tell the difference between the 99/2000 model, and also is there any problems i need to look out for on these? thanks colly

how much will a good condition txt pro in 200 or 250 go for my mate is after one, and also are they reliable as i herd problems with the gear box's. thanks

what is the approx air screw setting for 03 250 pro just rebuilt the carb and forgot to check before taking the screw out , can fine adjust once on bike ,also plug gap ? and do you use high or low modulus silicon to seat air box to seat unit ???? or am i just been anal

Just been to the show at Stoneliegh for a nosey at all the goodies and kinda fell in love with the new Pro 200! However I am a bit disapointed that they dont come equiped with the same new forks, clamps and bars as the bigger 250, 280, 300! Does anyone know if it is possible to get one with these trick bits on ? The other option is to look at the 250 then dress it in yellow?

Been having touble with my 200 TXT 02. It starts fine 1st or 2nd kick with a bit of choke. Choke off then let it warm up a bit then rides around at slow speeds fine ! However when I go for a bit of a climb the and open it up it has just not responded at the top end. Twice now the bike has stopped short on a climb due to 'Choking off' and nearly killed me through having to jump off or roll backwards down the hill ! I dont know if the top end has been done at all since new and I will be checking the reeds whilst the carb is off. I have a new Air filter and will be cleaning and blowing the carb out before reasembly. I'm Using TTS at 70:1, Motul Gbox oil, Std Factory j…

it's a sad thing, but the time has come. When i first saw my GG PRO, it was love at first sight and things were great for the first 2 months, but then the honeymoon ended. all i asked of her was to work with me 1-2 hours a day 2 or 3 days a week. in return, i kept her coolant level where it should be, fuel and oil as much as she required (little did know that she was an clutch drag addict, i learned that much later).but at every opportunity, she would get hot under the collar and i would have to stop what i was doing until i could cool her off. i didn't know that she was born with a life threatening breathing problem, but after her major surgery (top end job) i did all i …

I have a 04 250 Pro and I had this tiny rattle coming from it. Turned out the ring gear had lost its edges and was causing the rattle. I replaced 2 months ago and now have same problem. Anyone else had this???

Thought it was about time I stripped down the linkages.I can't find anything on previous posts so Hello again Workshop Yoda's.Really just some advice on any pitfalls on takeing the linkages apart prior to regreasing. H

Well that got your attention... I had a nice trip down to Devon last week and stayed at the Bikers Rest. Had a great time with the 20 acres of so of wood and streams. Highly recommended. I met some other bikers down there and one was on a 03 Beta. We swapped bikes (I have a 01 280 GG). The first thing that grabbed my attention was the power delivery, it was so smooth compared to my 280. Not necessarily better, but very different. The next thing was the rear suspension. It felt soft, smooth and wonderful. Any ideas as to why the Beta rear suspension felt so much better than the GG. best wishes, Rob.

Saw Kev's 250 Raga Rep at the Dirt Bike show in Telford on thursday but didn't have my camera with me, if some one is going could they get a photo of it,he say's he has too much time on his hands.He's done probaly the ultimate Gas Gas trick bike,much impressed. H

I have a 97 GasGas 320 that needed a new top end. We got as far as pulling the jug off and ordering parts, well we accidently got antifreeze in the bottom end and where unaware that this would turn to cement. Evidently antifreeze and synthetic oil does weird things when it mixes. So, what should I do? Will we have to split the case or can I fill the crank case with some kind of solution to free things up? We wondered about mineral spirits, deisal fuel or somthing, Anybody got any Ideas? sam

Hi I have the choice of getting a new 2005 Gas Gas txt pro 250 or Scorpa SY 250 these are the two bike I have decide on. I would like to know if there are and problems with the gas gas like gearbox.engine problems, I would also like to hear about the air box on the new gas gas

I'm about to change the fork oil for the first time, and got some questions There's a little screw in the bottom of the fork, is that for draining the oil ?? When the oil is drained, must i open the large nut at the top of the fork leg or what ??? The bike is a 280 - 2003 Best regards Christian

Mates new GG 2005 300 problems starting.......any ideas? End up kicking it over and over till it starts. Haven't been to see it myself, just wondered if this is normal, and any standard remedy. Ian.
