Fantastic news the ossa is going into production. I have watched this with much interest and it seems alot of money has been pumped into this project. As trials fans supporting this new venture and having the opportunity to add another choice to our bike selection process each year is much welcomed. I hope people give it a chance. Should it live up to expectation i could be in the frame for an new ossa I note TC comments previous opportunies to show the bike was not taken. Its worth the wait i think. Regarding weight im sure bits can be added to meet regulations no problem. Whos planned to ride them in 2011 WTC? Now excited to see one if flesh.

Is it just me, or have Ossa seriously put the exhaust pipe, Perfectly where your left leg is?

  8. As the heading says looks like we are not allowed to pass comment on ex works bikes on Trials Central anymore? I think people were only trying to protect other Trials Central members. Thought i would just make the point before this post gets deleted as the others were. Free speach, within the boundaries of the law used to be allowed on here. Then again it's not my site so what Andy decides is Andies perogative and i have to respect that and i do. Perhaps we could have an outline of what we are and are not allowed to discuss?

Ossa have released a press statement and a new video of Colmer riding the bike. With all the investment they are making production starts in September and they anticipate selling 1,250 bikes this year, then 2,500 in 2011. It would be good to see them in the WTC. Let's play fantasy trials riders. Who do you think they will have as their top rider?

I've rebuilt the motor and was surprised to see such a large counter weight / flywheel on the cush drive. My 1972 Mar 250 has no counter weight. Any one experimented with removing or reducing this extra weight? Looking at it it almost strikes me that it's a factory add on for those who wanted to tame the bike in the day? bike runs fine, just looking to put a bit of snap into it. this seems to be an obvious but need to get a little insight first. cheers

I need to repaint the fuel tank on a 1975 Ossa and wondered exactly what the white base colour was when new. I went to my local paint supplier and the number of "whites" avaliable is quite amazing!!! I think it should be slightly more creamy white than pure brilliant white but what would be the correct RAL code Any help greatfully received.

Can anyone fill in a few details on the Whitlock Ossa. (or were they sold as a Gollner Ossa?) Was it only a frame kit of were complete bikes sold? What was the colour scheme on the fuel tank? Standard Ossa or something different. The ones I have seen are a dark blue. Did they have any other mods apart from the frame. Cheers.

My son and I recently picked up a great deal on a running riding 74' Ossa MAR 250. Here we will post as we do the restore on it. The progress will be fast as we hope to have it ready for AHRMA at Donner this July. Now the bulk of the work is going to take place starting in June as we are moving at the end of the month and will start once we get in the new place. We will hit it hard for a month and the bike will be like new when done. I have attached a picture and video on the Ossa as it sat about 2 weeks ago.It runs perfect and sounds great. My son just putting it around for a shake down run. Stay tuned and glad I found this forum. Ossa Video of bike putting around

  18. Started by sdm,

I am possibly looking at purchasing a 72 MAR from a fellow. The only issue is one of the cross over tubes is loose and leaks fuel. Does anyone know if that is a major issue and a common problem on these? I am not sure if the tube is just loose in the tank or the tank itself has been damaged but if it is just loose it seems like it would be a fairly easy fix. Anyone out there have any experience with this and what steps to take to fix it? Also what other things other than the obvious cables chain sprockets etc are good to check on these bikes. I have limited experience with Ossas but have always liked them. Thanks for any info Sam
