Hi Can anyone tell me the best place to get hold of spares for the Montesa cotta 314r. Need shock linkage and seals/bearings. Thanks

The rear shocks on my 349 have had it so am looking for a replacement pair. The old ones measure up at 12" or 305mm. What is the correct length for them? I can find 310, 320, 325, 330 and 340mm but no reference to 305. Who is the cheapest seller? (not a very good rider so don't want to spend a fortune yet) Or does anyone have a pair that work ok but are a bit scruffy they would part with. The bike is just my practice machine and is very rough. Cheers Ed

I had to remove my silencer and noticed that, in addition to having had the end cap swapped per the standard road kit removal, the other end has been removed and refitted by a previous owner, presumably to perform some modification. Perhaps removal of something. Does anyone know what the inside of an 09 should contain before I start drilling? I'm sure it sounds louder since I had the mounting bracket welded so I am thinking there might be packing round a perforated tube and the heat has affected it.

Could anyone recommend a supplier of a tank cover for a 16 4rt ? either white or carbon finish. Loads out there but wondered what ones fit best etc. so any recommendations or pictures would be great Cheers Grant

ive had my montesa 315r a few monthes,basicly 3 setting on shocks would any 1 no,what a base settings are for all 3! i know thumb screw is 10 clicks,and flat screw on other is 10.im not sure what blue alen setting is....would appreseate any help!!

Hi folks just bought a Montesa cota 311, it's got a few issues but not too bad, it's getting hot and the fan doesn't turn how do I test the fan? 12v battery? Cheers

New question appears since I'm getting to know more and more about my second hand, eight years old mistress: My chain tensioner has plenty of free play, so I bought new bushes.Now I wonder if they are covered with teflon (there is some layer inside), because if they are, no grease should be used (that's how I have ruined Heim joint on my KTM). Old set is still working but I need proper info before I buy new chain tensioner due to worn out bolt or axle or whatever it is called..

How does this thing pop out for cleaning? My Beta ones just popped out. These look pretty flimsy so I didn't want to force it. Do you bend it in the middle and pull from the middle and then squeeze the four little plastic tabs that are fitted through the mounting holes?

Does anyone have source for foldable levers for a 2017 Montesa 4rt?

My clutch is working just dandy at the moment, no dragging, no slipping in top and neutral is a piece of p*ss to find. If I had to find fault it's a little bit on or off. I believe the 'book' says 10/30 motor oil, but also see that some use ATF, as I do in my Speedy. Any recommendations gentlemen? thanks in advance

I popped out to work today and when I came back I noticed that someone had put a Cota 4RT in the back of my van. I must admit I pleased with thsi bike as considering its age its not in too bad nick. I just need to get the knack of starting it. I am getting better at starting it but its going to take some time to get my leg and brain educated. The only issue is the master cylinder for the front brake spat its fluid out at the shop. So that needs sorting. But thats not a major issue. I would like pointing in the direction of a manual as my google foo seems a bit weak at the moment. I would prefer a hard copy if possible. I just need to learn how to ride this without hurtin…

Anyone here nows what Montesa changed on the 4ride ? 2016 was with euro3 homologation, 2018 euro4 There is on the 18 modell the bashplate and the sprocket protection as on the trials bike, also the kick starter is now the short one... Any changes on gearbox, fuel injection or else ? Someone here has ridden both bikes ? At the moment, both versions are still avaliable at some dealers here in germany, the 2016 is a little bit cheaper....

Hi all, I have a 2005 4RT. Started it first time in 4 weeks and ran fine for a minute then stalled. Wouldnt restart, then after i checked the plug it kind of started but ran very rough and exhaust was red hot. I let everything cool down and tried again but same deal, either no start or runs very rough and wont rev as if timing miles out. Any help appreciated???
