He was ACE Absolutely crackers obviously and his heart was in the right place (no pun intended!). He was hilarious to watch, just like a 5yr old kid holding on to the tail of the neighbours loony dog. Very enthusiastic, great personality and did a lot for conservation. I've had a few 'funny' emails and although they didn't offend me or make me think "Sicko's", I haven't forwarded them like I usually do... RIP Steve

Last I heard, Dabster was lost in Spain driving at silly speeds. Andy was in the back seat but denies being lost as he knew exactly where he was

Nope, I try not to think of scary things like that - especially when faced with 60 odd miles of Scottish moors /sections/roadwork and still wringing the bike's neck down scenic roads to get back in time! **** happens and it usually happens to me but I was lucky that day

Why? My chain tensioner disintegrates on a regular basis (for some unknown reason!) and I carry on regardless. The only time it worried me was on a certain Tuesday in 2004, just after a 15 minute lunch break...

Ooooh tetchy buggers I wasn't having a go at John, just stating what I thought it looked like and then trying to make the post a bit more light hearted. Maria Conway might be one of the best lady riders out there but is she at it 100%? I'm pretty sure Katy Sunter has been in the team before, I think she's had problems with her knee in the past but she's always riding the big trials (whupping fat/old/bald blokes ) all year long but no explanation to why she isn't included. Like I said "No offence John..." Cheers
