  2. No offence John but that bit at the end appears to be a "Oh, by the way - here's the birds team" Or is it just me getting in touch with my feminine side again?
  3. Classic Andy, let's have a 'Quote of the Month' award on TC somewhere. I'll donate a can of Stella to Boyd for this beauty

    06 270 Rev 3

Really? Adjust them so that the top marker line on the fork tubes are just level with the top yoke and check the suspension settings are half way through the range of settings. This should be a good start to work from...

  11. Because we don't know how and according to Dabbster it is't important anyway. We are very proud of what our lads have done this year, but at the same time we realise that self promotion brings it's own problems. As we say on the Island (Bull**** stinks results do the talking) If anyone would like to help us we would welcome them but i don't think youth C champions will attract much intrest. The British national youth scene is like a traveling show that moves around the country, we all know who's who and to stick your head above the water is not wise. Lets all be honest, we may not like it but Ben Morphet is probably the best trials rider for his age in the world today, and as long as he is around everyone else should keep quiet. What a load of B*****ks!
  12. Mine started 1st kick last week after being stood for over 3 months! I use 75ml of 'PJ1 Silverfire' oil per 5 litres of ordinary (stale?) unleaded petrol. Turn fuel tap on, choke on, one full turn of the throttle and kick it with a smidge of open throttle
  13. Banana's have summat in them that works too, biggest selling food at the SSDT I reckon
  14. You ******* *******, I wondered how long it would take you to chime in PERCE, see here... http://homepages.tig.com.au/~robk/datalogger.html
  15. Yes, I made one out of a GPS mouse, a fancy data recorder and a 12v power supply although I'm sure it would run off some other kind of battery pack. The fancy/clever bit is the data recorder - I had to order it from Australia. There are dip switches inside that you set for recording intervals. The GPS mouse provides the location and the recorder logs the position every X seconds or so. I had it fitted in a car once, plugged the laptop in once a week and downloaded the data points. These are then used on a mapping program to show a 'snail trail' of the route taken, speed, distance travelled etc. I still have it if you want to borrow it and experiment with a different power supply? It needs a new gps mouse but they are only
  16. Nah K just do your usual, training for the big day would be a waste of energy. Ouch, you bitch!

I loved the sound of the rev limiter kicking in when it was wide open... Silly sod
  21. I've never been, but have been told that too - more than once. I suspect once Health and Safety get hold of this which they inevitably will as part of the subsequent FAI that Back Cowm will be no more except for officially organised and supervised events. Back Cowm quarry is run as a business now and I'm sure it is run properly with respect to H&S, public liability insurance etc. At the end of the day, it's a 140 acre site that is perfect for motorsport - tragic accidents will happen no matter what...
