  1. 5 in the rear 6 in the front, brand new Michelin X11's, just put on Loamy, loose leaf and undergrowth in woods.............2T didn't even blink Smoother throttle on 4RT and it just goes backwards, wouldn't hook up, after a turn around a tree
  2. Not been riding my 4RT for 3-4 months and went out to re-try a few sections that I did, at a recent Trial, that I cleaned on my other 2T bike Tried on the 4RT and would it grip, no it bloody wouldn't - even with a brand new tyre............. on muddy hillsides and woodland type sections Grr, I find the front end has a mind of its own sometimes too Rocks, fine Streams fine Mud/Banks..........nope
  3. It was a grand evening out - proper Dales 'gathering'
  4. Cheaper though and plastic ones survive rock impacts better too - weight difference is negligible
  5. I think it's a bit of urban myth but I thought it surrounded home Belgian rider Roger De Coster and the Citadel circuit at Namur and not Carlqvist EDIT - corrected by posts below.
  6. Speedo is not needed for mot & not part of the test
  7. Banyeres in Spain H&D Racing in UK
  8. Yep that's the old way and do it with my TYZ every time I ride it
  9. Not an aircooled Mono, but I run my TYZ at 80:1 on Putoline MX5
  10. Supply & demand He has it You want it Not many left = Rarity
  11. Watched him yesterday on S13 lap 2 - a real snotty mud section an Bou fived at the mud bank, a real natural bit of the whole section, where as Fujigas got through the section for 1 (but Dibs/cabestany/busto did 5 it) and I think Gubian cleaned it Watching Bou, he was awesome on the man made stuff, but looked average on the ordinary stuff I wish he'd go to Reeth in October on a rainy day
  12. Hmmm I went yesterday for the first time and concur with you Some great riders - especially on 125's Venue - not great for me and I much prefer Reeth or Clachaig and that is a proper trial
  13. Yep - Time for the ACU to take it back to basics - Brit style !!! I haven't been to a GP Trial for years I live 40 miles from Tong and now with my ACU card can get in free on Sunday - helluva incentive But will I go? Not sure iF if was at Raydale Farm Marsett, like the 1983 round I'd be up there like a shot and not even care about paying
  14. Yeah, I heard that Free admission for ACU licence holders? Best £10 to the ACU you'll ever spend Can't believe it's true, is it??
  15. Any 5's for a stop would be controversial though Great opportunity for those wanting to do it though
  16. Prefer my 4RT, had them since 2007 and moved over from a 2004, last of the bunch 2004 model 315 Never got on with the 315R, really and much preferred the TYZ to the 315, better motor for a clubman is the TYZ Go for it
  17. Just get it I saw James riding it this year and he just floated over the rocks I wouldn't be worried about buying an ex James Lampkin SSDT bike, but I would worry about buying an clubman rider's bike who had lost 300 marks in the SSDT and crashed into a lot of rocks
  18. Or even a good TYZ I am enjoying riding mine more than the 2004 new 315 I had, back in the day
  19. Saw it on TC page on Facebook Next month's Tong British GP is in doubt because the promotors have withdrawn Talks are ongoing it is reported to resurrect it Shame if it gets dropped
  20. Couple of lads I know with them and they've done Wales ok, Even on my XR400 I try to avoid deep water, if at all possible I think if there is a deep river you can try an alternative route or just launch bank to bank in Bou style
