Any Twinshock Honda..especially a Seeley or RS
Then a Majesty perhaps
-
Bought my 4RT after seeing it on Ebay
Never made the reserve after 2 listings.............so rung the guy up and did a deal off Ebay
He was looking at a car in Yorkshire and brought it up with him from Gloucester
Great bike and as described with all the original sale paperwork from BVM
You could tell the guy from the telephone conversations, knew what he was on about and was a trials enthusiast
No difference from a T&MX ad ...................as always Buyer beware
I got a good deal and i'm well chuffed
I've sold some bikes too on Ebay and i was 110% honest and the buyers were well happy

Official Montesa dealers......................you're right, Munch - one said yes and the other said no
Thought it better to ask the real world - Trials Central Members

Thanks Subira,
It's from a 2004 Mont
A dealer told me today that it wouldn't fit, but I was sure he was wrong, as another said it would
-
Will it fit?
Different spacers?
I know the rear sprocket fitting is a 6 hole on a 315R and a 4 hole on a 4RT, but is the rear hub wider too
Only that I've got a brand new 315R wheel/tyre/disc/sprocket sat in the garage loft and wanted to see if it'll fit my 4RT
Any help greatly appreciated from those in the know

What was and is your dream bike then???

Guess?
Very tidy with no rock damage whatsoever, so clean even the grips show little wear & tear
I doubt its done more than 20-30 hours mainly in woods/mud only
-
Just bought a good example but a few questions about my first foray into fourstrokes (good bit of assimile) after a 315 Mont
Tickover seems low - I know 1800rpm is recommended but this one I would guess is about 12-13rpm and wants to stall.
Seems like standard gearing on 10/41 - whats the best 10/43 or 10/44 (guess they turned the tickover down instead of correcting the gearing)
Exhaust seems loud and has no rear end cap, so that'll be the reason I guess.
Is the end cap necessary and if so, how much are they
It's got the 315 clutch on it and wide pegs, so is pretty ok and hasn't suffered any rock damage
So i'm going to do the fluids and lube her up and see how she goes
Best mods and trick bits for a 4RT - what's good and what's a waste of money??

Hi
Trying to archive search the Forum, but it only comes up with last 2 pages of threads, say in Montesa section
How can I search the entire section???????
-
Errrrrrrrrrr.................How about putting a new Gear Lever or Kick Starter shaft in
Netter than a bodge that you're suggesting
Not difficult with a workshop manual

Jean Marc is selling them again

Where's that then - Dholda?
-
I would and have walked away from Ebay messes like that before.
Bikes like that are in breach of the description and Ebay will back you up, if you walk away
There is a 'no deal' mutual arrangement now or if the seller presses you to complete, report your concerns to Ebay and they will suspend seller
If it was a normal private sale, I bet you'd have walked away and not handed over
