Looks like they have had a significant amount of 2005 bikes that remain unsold and they've had to 'tart' them up to shift, before the 2006 bikes come on-stream.
Typical Honda..........Honda UK have crates of 2002/2003/2004 unsold Sportsbikes in their warehouses, due to overproduction and ordering, in relation to market trends.....
Until they 'build to order' like BMW it will hit their loyal customers, with poor residuals

No Legal requirement for mirrors.
Same for indicators, because a Trials bike is single seater, primarily designed for off-road use and doesn't have a pillion seat, pillion pegs and thus isn't capable of carrying a pillion
However it must have a speedo, electric continuous horn and rear reflector.
This is the minimum for the bike to obtain a 'daytime' MOT.
Tyres should be road legal and if you use it in poor weather or after dark, the bike must have a glass (not plastic) front light, with high and low beam, plus a rear light, which is both a tail and stoplight.
The stoplight must be able to be activated by both the front brake lever and rear brake pedal

Get your Thyroid levels checked out, Woody.
A friend had same symptoms and couldn't ride his bike and went to the Docs, who couldn't explain it.
Whilst having tests with Practice Nurse, he mentioned his problem and she said she'd do a test of his Thyroid levels and when they came back, he shouldn't have been able to walk and was called straight in.
Took the Tablets and was much better in 2 weeks.
He then was able to ride to Morrocco and the Sahara on his 1150GS BMW
I'm not a Doctor or medically trained, but you never know where the best tips come from.
Hope you get better soon.

The welding on the Godden frame, may not be the prettiest, but the frame is functional and strong, plus it's resistant to flex, which the TY175 suffered from
-
As said this tank is alloy original, so guess that's where they put the fuel cap and a quick way to tell the difference between alloy and fibreglass tanks from a distance or in a picture
-
Just to confuse things more............
This is a Godden chrome framed Majesty with a 175 engine.
Date of Manufacture was Jan 1982 and it's not a Mini Majesty 175, but a full size one.
Godden framed Mini Majesty's had straight down tubes and full size frames had a 'dog leg' at the bottom where the bash plate attaches (you can pick it out in the photo)
This bike is very original and came as a 175 from new (not a 200) and has the Majesty altered engine cases (oil pump cover and flywheel cover)
It has an alloy full-size Majesty tank and Majesty seat, plus Majesty chain guard and front and rear brake torque arms (which were machined and made lighter)
Originally when I bought it - it had Gas Girlings .............however I've put Falcons on it
Manufacture date has been confirmed by John Shirt Snr

Not a Trials bike I know............
But I took delivery of one of these, last Saturday.............brand spanking new and had Ohlins shocks fitted front and rear (it doesn't have telescopic forks) when the bike was PDi'd at the BMW dealer.
Ohlins shocks are the business and transform the handling of any bike, if set up correctly and are simply awesome.
Stock shocks are ok, but are built to a price and lack sophistication
The price of the shocks for this bike was

Domino
Martin................you're right, they do
However does it work to cut the cable (cue........ many strands of little wires) and screw in the solderless nipple.
What about ..........
a) the nipple working loose and falling out........resulting in a DNF
the cable fraying and becoming useless
These are my fears against cutting the cable and using that approach
However could you use that nipple and use solder .................just to make doubly sure
-
Thanks Chris,
I will do that anyway......................just trying to narrow it down a bit first
-
I'm in the process of swapping from an Amal throttle to a Domino
throttle on my Majesty 175.
However the original cable already fitted, is slightly too long and I've run out adjustment at the carb end.
Anybody know a correct length cable to mate a TY175 Carb to a Domino
throttle (I don't want to mess about with soldering nipples)
I want to buy one of the correct length - any suggestions - do Domino
make one?? Venhill??
Your ideas please

Bad product design, testing and quality control like this begars belief..........
A new bike leaving the factory with 'dents'..........no excuses
-
Don't know prices
Check with B&C Express @ Lincoln or Talon direct (numbers in T&MX or do a web search) for prices / sizes .................HondaRS recommends a 9/46 in your thread
Forget the gold chain.............just get a normal colour as it's going to be covered in oil and crap.
IMHO ........a gold anodised rear sprocket would look ok on a red bike or just plain Jane alloy
Red or blue................ugggh!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Talon or Renthal.............should be able to sort you out
It'll look like a tart's handbag
-
Here's my Majesty...............
-
It'll turn out to be an 'Orange' or a 'Lemon'
-
Get a Toyota Powervan.................good for 3 Trials bikes and drives like a car

The PENTAX refers to the advertising or sponsorship (as in cameras) I believe, not the model - Mattylad
