i know this is an old thread but is anyone familiare with a 1x blue 1x grey 1x black and 1x yellow set up from stator

thanks for that , its not same as mine so it must be from a cota believed to be from a 309 but cant find a wiring diagram or pic of cdi

it is motoplat , you could be right , its actually on a cota engine but not what i am used to bike has 2 blue 1 black 1 grey which go to a cdi , the one i now have only has 1 blue 1 grey and 1 black , i have seen a stator from a tr which only had 2 wires which would probably go straight to coil ,could be barking up wrong tree

can anyone tell me if the tr32/34 has 3 wires from stator to cdi 1 blue 1 black and 1 grey ,if so what cdi does it use

anyone come across this as most seem to have 2 blues will i need a differnt cdi to get around this ?

try removing air filter top to allow more air in and have you oiled the filter ,, or dropped dirt in airbox ,,

wont efect starting if it turns it over have you checked spark

cant you just get a tad machined off the liner

sounds like something out of alignment poss bent conrod ,,,, something to do with small end thrust washers ? i presume theres nothing sat in crankcase bottom , or is there a problem with main or big end bearings ,,, is cylinder sitting square to eng cases

The pinking is just one donk not several small taps like you may get on a car . It is when you close the throttle .if the was a problem there would be untoward noises under load or tick over or when revs are coming back down and would be constant . It is an annoying sound and worrying when not sure of what it is . It maybe cured by altering timing if posSible or richerning carb up by lifting needle or going bigger on main jet but this could cause it to run rich . It maybe cure able just by using the more expensive fuel like she'll v power

Remove front pipe lower piston and I can imagine you can get something in to reach opposite side of cylinder poss tape measure and measure to piston nearest to you .you should be able to get a good enough idea with measurements in previous post

sounds like a pinking noise that you get when closing the throttle try some high octane fuel

Maybe a bit rich or air filter clogged over oiled what's plug colour

its not a problem if you mess with it you will soon have a problem ,ive never felt like it causes any negative issues

Try Berlen for amal or could you cut flange off and fasten a rubber boot or cut off and have a round tube welded on to fit rubber manifold on or try ebay

think id fully strip and replace all seals and gaskets , and check all bearings
