No, the missus is looking forward to having it but the down side is she will have to chauffeur me about ! .. At least I can moan about her driving for a change
-
Too long anyway, the missus has some for me to use yet
-
Maybe a dumb question but out of interest, has/did anyone ever make gold plated points?
-
Hmmm, call me old fashioned but she doesn't need to do that surely.
-
Jeremy Clarkson said that all the CoC's have gone to Audi's and as I have an S5, that's pretty close to the truth.
.....But it is fun for now anyway..... only 3 more points left

Like you say, a lot of 'grey' areas here but interesting to read peoples different experiences.
-
You didn't pay it in Belgium as you have business interests there and you claimed it back against purchases (which isn't the same as not paying it of course) or you just never paid it and then never paid it when you brought it into the country?
-
-
According the HM Revenue & Customs website, you have to pay VAT on new motor vehicles bought into the country from within the EU Link Here
but.. looking at what complies to a motorised 'means of transport', you have the below
2. How to identify and deal with new means of transport
2.1 What is a 'means of transport'?
A 'means of transport' is any of the following when it is intended for the transport of passengers or goods:
* a boat more than 7.5 metres long (about 24.6 feet)
* an aircraft with a take-off weight of more than 1550 kilograms (about 4417 lb), or
* a motorised land vehicle which:
- has an engine with a displacement or cylinder capacity of more than 48 cubic centimetres, or
- is constructed or adapted to be electrically propelled using more than 7.2 kilowatts (about 9.65 horsepower).
Vehicles, which are not suitable for use on public roads: for example
* off road motorcycles
* combine harvesters
* motorised lawnmower
also
* hot air balloons
are not means of transport and should not be supplied under the scheme; they are subject to tax in Member State of supply.
This explains why you paid VAT in the UK dabster

No. The way it works is numero uno (Andy) puts out a job description for people who have the skills, the spare time (Ha Ha), the dedication, etc etc to help run this site ( all for free of course as even with sponsorship, this site still costs money to run up and above the income generated). Some crazy people put forward their CV's ( me being one of them) and Andy decides who that is going to be. Alas, for my sins it was me and 3 years later, I'm still here! Andy is great to work with I have to say and fully supportive hence the reason I respect what he does here and I do try to do anything I can to help him.
But to sum up, In reality, what happens is similar to people who run trials clubs - lots of effort for little reward so, if you want to have a pop then feel free to do so. I am a CoC as well so I am use to it

Euro is at 1.03720 to the pound at present Uk importers must be feeling it real bad at present.
btw, I have bought container loads of material from China. The quality was crap and it wasn't that much cheaper and you have to pay upfront. Consequently, I haven't bought any since. Saying that, engineered components have improved dramatically depending where you buy from.

Copemech made a direct accusation accusing me for something I never done as though it was fact. I think you would find in a court of law that this action is libellous. I have warned him and he has changed his comment accordingly. That's the end of the matter as far as I am concerned.
In general, this is a very easy site to admin as there is hardly any need ever to moderate anyone's post however, if someone wants to make a false accusation as such then it will get treated the same way as above.
-
Making false accusations like this without proof is going to get you banned! I have NOT deleted any posts from this thread so I suggest you get your facts right before you wish to make any other blatant false statements such as this

1 of my favourite jokes of all time.
Paddy and Murphy in the bar and Paddy says to Murphy, " Hey mate, haven't seen you for a while. Where have you been? "
Murphy says " I've been to university studying logic"
"Logic Murphy" says Paddy, "What do you mean?"
"Well, have you got any Fish " Murphy says
"Yes, I have some Fish " says Paddy
"Well, If you have some fish, then you must have a fish pond"
"Yes" says Paddy
"Well if you have a garden big enough for a fish pond, you must have a big house... a 3 bedroom detached house?"
"Yes" says Paddy
"And if you got a 3 bedrrom detached house, then you are likely to be married.... probably with some kids?"
"To be sure " says Paddy " I have a wife Mary and 2 boys Patrick & Daniel"
"Well.."Says Murphy, " If you are married, with 2 children then you probably have a sex life and you don't need to masturbate do you?"
"No" says Paddy
"Well there you go...... Logic! "
Paddy says, " That's amazing" he gets his pint and goes and sits in the corner with Shamus and says
"Hi Shamus. I have just seen Murphy at the bar and he's been to university studying logic"
"Logic" Shamus says, " What's that? "
"Well" Paddy says, " I will try and explain "
"Do you have any Fish? "
"No" says Shamus
Then Paddy thinks for a moment and says.."
"Ah..... you must be a w**ker then "
-
ooops ! Thought they were by now
-
Has anyone bought one yet?
-
I think you could do with rephrasing that! If he's buggered, he wont be having any babies for sure
