Andy is normally very fast at getting the scores (and photos) on the front page. Take a look here Scores

Yes, It definitely is! Maybe not quite in that format but it will definitely happen.
-
Well if its anything like mine then yes, you will have to learn to live with it Broken finger joints are apparently more likely to develop arthritis when you get older too.

Classic Bikespace humour
Alex, I busted 2 fingers ( at one of Bikespace's trials ironically ) and basically gave up riding not long after that. I do miss riding but now when its cold, the fingers give me some serious jib. I also play guitar/keyboards and the damaged fingers have knackered that up and it sucks basically.
So, look after your fingers big time. Maybe not too much of a problem when your'e young, but when you get older you start to notice it !

Now you are just gonna know that that's my sorta joke

Anyone know what the highest anyone has achieved is?

This is the place to go for WTC results info - They come up here before anywhere else normally . - http://www.trialonline.org/

It's interesting that people have said the 4rt is a 'grippy' bike. I have heard conflicting views on that.
This was interesting what was in Todays James Dabill Report after round 1 of the WTC.....
“ All day I have struggled to find grip, and never got enough speed up on the approaches to the steps. The second lap was a real disaster, with one five after another. I need to do some more training in the wet, so that I can be better equipped for Bangor next weekend.”
I have only ever ridden one for about an hour so I am not qualified to give an educated view however, what are the honest thoughts of people who have ridden them in the mud.

Alfredo Gomez is the dark horse I reckon. It will be interesting to see how he gets on today!
All the best for Pat this year

With the possibility that you guys will get your next trials world champion this year(albeit at Youth Level), I was wondering what effect Bernie Schreiber had on the US trials scene when he won in '79? I ask simply because I know that you guys get behind a sport that you do well at on the world stage, so therefore I wondered if there is anything you can remember from the time, as to what happened in the months/years after the win that you would kindly share?
-
I predict you will get your World Champion this year
p.s. Last year, I correctly predicted Toni Bou would win indoors and outdoors in his first year so its a good omen
-
I would suggest that he may have been carrying a lot of speed before he hit the bank which ensured he flew up it. Something a lot of us just cant seem to do Its partly about inertia so getting the bike to move with a lardy ass on it in the first place is the first issue to overcome ....... How do you get over that problem then Gaz
-
Maybe this thread should be renamed "What is the grippiest bike in the hands of a novice/clubman" as the likes of Morris,Thorpe,Danby,Haslam,Wigg (when he was riding one) certainly seem to get grip where its needed on one.
On another note, with so many people saying the SY250 is the grippiest, why don't we see so many more people on them then?
-
Exactly what I found with the Sherco 4T. Same amount of talent(lack of...) too as well
-
-
The bike I got most grip from in the mud was the Sherco 4T (2005) - Sherco 290 2003 was the hardest. The 2007 290 was much better. As for good riders in the mud, ma man Ross Danby takes some beating

HA HA - It's not about bringing home the trophies. I was just thinking that if you get most of your enjoyment out of fettling the bike, rather than riding it, you could effectively build a Fuel injected Mono shock bike with disc brakes and the technology would all be from before the era suggested.
Just a thought
-
Interesting that about the drum brakes. As disc brakes were invented by a brit in 1902, would it be fair to say that if someone fitted disc brakes on a twinshock then that would be allowed? This goes for EFI as well. (Invented in the 60's)
See, if the technology was around at that time,(even pre65) then surely it could be perceived that anyone could fit it to a motorbike ?
-
Take some pics and post them as well please. We would like to see the bike
-
Damn..... It missed him
Talking about close shaves on takeoffs, what about landings too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Th_Yrr9BNQ

Money makes the world go round the world go round the world go round...
Seriously, we are more worried about plastic bags in this country than any of that. However... there is one big factor that could make a difference and that is 'food miles'. In my industry, people are asking questions whether we should be getting products from China when we can get them in the UK or Europe without the carbon emmisions in transporting it so far ( and the fact that China is a high polluter as well)
-
Seems to me that you can ride whatever tricked up bike you want.... AS LONG AS YOU DON'T WIN ON IT.
