    4t Again

Guys, what is your honest opinion of the mods? does it start atraight away when dropped and how have they cured the carb overflow into the airbox problem?
  2. ooops ... should have read the Forum topic first! Thought it was for Trial Motorbikes !! Doh!
  3. How longs a piece of string? Simply put, a ‘modded’ bike normally has some enhancement to the performance characteristics to suit the riding style or requirements of the rider and the terrain to which the machine will be used on. (Phew)
  4. Do you know if this is being shown again?
  5. If you mean weight then I am 12.5 stone and I have rode Ross's gasser and it pulls me fine on the simple stuff I do
  6. Dont matter who wrote it. it is spot on ! The sad thing here in the UK is its virtually the same as the US in this respect. Political correctness and the nanny state have given us a society thats full of lazy ass thicko's who expect everything to be given to them without having to earn it. I employ nearly 70 people and expect for my scientific & technical staff, only a minority are born in the UK coz the brits just dont want to work ( with the odd expecption of course ) See, Maggie was right! get off yer ass and and make a life for yourself and not let the labour government provide you one on benefits!!
  7. Respect man (thats choice coming from an anti MS lobbyist!)
  8. Dont know much about the porting etc on the sherco 125 at the moment but I am selling the 290 and getting a 125 so I can use it as a development machine to see how far I can go on the tuning front. I have a few ideas taking from other technologies I work with which I want to try. I am not suprised that Pat is a bit reluctant to have a go at the big stuff on it. He has been sorta spoilt for power and now he has to learn how to get the most out of a smaller engine and push it to the limits. The thing is, if he doesnt get up something dont immediately think its the bike as some of the stuff Ross is getting up now compared to over a year ago is due to better technique and not having more power. ( although his latest engine is pretty powerful thanks to his dad Mick. )
  9. After watching this weekends football till im bored ****less, England dont have a cat in hells chance in winning this thing I have to say . Call me negative if you want but I would say I am just being realistic. The emerging countries are playing some damn good football and I haven't seen anything better by our lot. If this is the best football team that we have had for ages, then it dont hold out much hope for the future.. However, if they prove me wrong I will be very happy! The feel good factor is good for business
  10. The big test is to up end it vertical - leave it for 30 seconds and see if it starts after you bring it back down. Because its using the same carb then I assume it still has the same problem of fuel flooding the airbox that plagued my machine. Has this been fixed in the new kit?
  11. Nice to see him on a 125 and a Sherco at that . Lee Sampson rode a completely stock Sherco 125 at the WTC/TTC and didnt do too bad as far as I can remember. Will Noel be doing any tuning work on it?
  12. I think there should be a national register and if someone wants to ride a route "out of class" then they ride for no award.
  13. one of these mate THE CAR MAN THE CAR!!!! Picture courtesy of http://petemc.net
  14. I had the pleasure of a front seat view of him at the USA WTC and there is no doubt he still has enough + a bit more of what it takes. On the first day, (except for the first section ) he rode with confidence and determination and with Team Lampkin around him the whole thing was clinical and well excecuted. I didnt see one instance when the machine couldnt get him up anything and if anything, the americans were commenting on how much power it had, ( especially if you saw the Scorpa 4f attempting the same stuff which was way off the pace. ) Im my humble opinion, the 4RT looks to be no longer at a disadvantage for the outdoor.. while people talk about the machines development, DL has had to learn new techniques and riding styles to accomodate it and to be where he is in such a short period of time tells me hes hungry for another title and the ambition is still there.. As the experience grows then so does the confidence so its still very possible
  15. Yes , but he's actually right! but wtf do I know about the US scene to give an informed answer
  16. What we want to do is spend a week practicing at that venue as the trials terrain was superb. At the same time, it maybe a good idea if the US youths who were riding 125 were there as well as I'm sure Ross wouldn't mind spending some time explaining how he controls the machine like he does. I antcipate being there for a full week but we will need a bike and some lodgings.. I can cover the rest as I said. We could do this august/september time I reckon so it would give you guys some time to organise something? You can email me ian AT trialscentral.com if you want
  17. we flew into Atlanta last time, could we do the same? I will probably go as well and I can sort transport to the TTC center. Just need some accomodation and some grub for the week and that would do great! EDIT : actually, dont need to worry about the grub as I will cover that
  18. Here’s a suggestion for you, If you can put Ross Danby up at Sequatchie for a couple of weeks and sort a gasser 125 (he will bring his own engine), I will cover his costs to get him over there and show you guys how he rides a 125. (Subject to me checking his diary & commitments)
  19. Having seen all the rhetoric from the man on these forums, how good was he as a rider? is their any video footage about we could see as I really have no idea if he was/is any good?
  20. Get them Betas, Gassers & Monts outa my Sherco thread
