  1. While we on a thanking mission here. Thanks to team Smage for helping us out with a bike for Marcus to follow Ross round. Thanks to those 2 dudes camped by you for lending me a guitar so we could have a full on jamming session. That was great that was Thanks to craig for the Beer Thanks to the presenter for the practice arena for making us laugh so much when Rob Andrews was doing one of his vertical wheelies with his left leg sticking out by saying, " Watch this young Man, he sticks his left leg out to tell us hes going left!"
  2. The ACU would be accused of abusing their power, or making clubs perform the role that the ACU should be performing - supporting our talented youth. I can almost hear you saying it <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Damn right dude btw, The midland centre enforces those stupid centre team events and stops anyone else from riding at the same time in the centre. Is that abusing power?
  3. Wiggy beat Jarvis at the Mitchell the other week riding the same sections....(Edit:This is wrong - see below) and everyone else come to that ! Someone else mentioned to me the other day that why doesnt the WTC have a pot to ride for? Then it would make it worthwhile to enter.. only problem! wheres the money going to come from! Why would it be a good thing not to have a WTC?
  4. Thats the point I was making. Because it would cause a negative feeling from a big part of the trials community is the very thing I dont understand. Also, Im not advocating that its forced on anyone. The ACU put the trials on . you have a choice whether you want to ride it or not. No one would be forced too!
  5. And another point, I saw Dougie come out when the youths were practicing in the arena and spent some time offering advice and support. All free and well received and was great to see. Didnt ask a penny and done it for the youths of this country. If he can do it, then why cant we???
  6. No.1 , I think thats a great idea. Bikespace, If I get you right, what you're effectively saying is if I cant have it then why should they! And the comment about the big RV's just reinforces that. Even if you get to the big time, the top guys dont get much in the way of a salary. A footballer gets more in a week than they earn in a year! so if you think they gonna get rich forget it! You yourself know a talented lad who has a very nice monty! now his parents cant get him round the world so who is going to get to see this talent? Are you happy that it just goes to waste? surely not! Anyway, the idea isnt about getting individual success, its about TEAM UK kicking the ass of Johny foreigner! If some BRITISH kid gets a break on the world stage then thats good for the sport and good for Britain. At the weekend we had Dougie Twice,Wiggy twice,Sam Haslam and Michael Brown on the podium. It was a great feeling seeing so much british talent on the podium and the more we get up there the better in my opnion. Its a good idea No,1. Just a shame its wasted on narrow minds! IMHO
  7. A couple of European Championships dont count then? I didnt see anything from any of your guys that Wiggy couldnt do right now. In fact, I would put money on him winning your championship in his first year.
  8. I'm 100% with you reference the ACU. The importers and factories do offer some support but it is extremely inconsistent across the board. Times are a changing and gone are the days when if you were a top rider you would go cap in hand to an importer/factory in the hope they might give you a few bits and pieces and maybe some discount off the bike. Not forgetting the one reason that kids are sponsored and that is to sell more of the machines they ride, its time to return that with a decent package. Gasser 125's have in the past dominated the youth scene thanks to the likes of Wiggy, Ross & all the other youth gasser riders. No doubt the importers with vision will start putting together good sponsorship packages to look after/attract the best youth guys in the future. I know some are doing this right now!
  9. I dont think he was saying that. I dont think it was by design, more like dropping into line with the european laws on road safety is the reason why we have 125cc class. But what this has done is it has forced the riders to push the machine to the very limits to get the most out of them and by this very factor , skills have been developed which appear to assist the riders when they go up to bigger bikes. It was clearly evident on the first day on the first section which had a slippery hill climb over a log that I think only a small handful of riders cleaned the section and that was your very top riders. Everyone else didnt have a clue on how to ride it. As soon as the youth riders came through they made it look so easy it was glaringly evident of the difference in ability. So the conclusion is that 125 is NOT only important because thats what we ride, its because it develops skills that give you an advantage. On another note Mich Lin, I was asking the guys at the TTC why you werent there and they said you wouldn't show your face.! why was this? you go on about your organisations should do this and do that and the scores tell it all but thats just complete bull****! Videos and pictures tell you next to nothing. When have you ever seen in real life the Europeans ride 125's in a world round? You have to be there to see it to appreciate what the difference is against your guys and the very fact that you werent there was deplorable IMHO.
  10. Wow, that would be nice.. cant see it somehow
  11. Interesting, In standard form I'd say the Gas Gas has a big edge over the Sherco normally but Wiggy's bike is something else. NYL's bike has a few mods that make it better than the Standard bike and it has shown in recent trials, (Despite niggling cooling problems). NYL has noted that the bike in the Photo's didn't look like the bike Alex normally uses so perhaps Louis gained ground on Alex because of that. Having said that I think the conbination is the key. The better the bike "feels" the more a good rider can "use" it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Lee Sampson rode a completely stock Sherco 125 and didnt suffer because of it. He rode very well I know I am a Sherco man but you had to be there to witness it. The Sherco of Gubians (which had stock carb) was significantly more powerful than the gasser (with keihin & high comp head fitted). Just ask Julian as he saw it too.
  12. I agree, his minding was up there with there very best. (not commenting on the sex god thing though although after I saw you with Jake, I can understand why you would make that comment )
  13. If I may be so bold to comment on this subject as I saw all the US experts go through to Geoff & Bruce and then the WTC youth straight after. There were two obvious differences: [1] The WTC youths know how to get grip and feather the power delivery working the suspension with their leg work and most of the US guys didnt display that skill trying to rely on raw power to do the work. [2] The US experts balance control wasn't of the same calibre as the WTC youths. Many times I saw multiple dabs lining the bike up for a step or hill climb Thats my observations for what its worth. IMHO
  14. Some of us visited the Firework shop but I'm not saying what happened to the stuff that was bought there in case the county sherrif reads this
  15. Nice meeting you Al, and Team Smage and that crazy dude Paul who's way out there man See you all next year
  16. Wiggy has hit a streak of form where his riding is just impeccable. Loris Gubian was excellent in practice and his factory sherco is something special. He was hitting a 10ft step and getting up it with ease and when Wiggy had a few goes, he was giving it 110% and the bike couldnt get him up there. On saturday, Gubian had a problem with is arm hence the high score but saying that, Alexz's second round of 4 was outstanding. well done This could go all the way to the wire and will be great to watch.
  17. And also calling with Alexz Wizz as well ! 3 damn times !!The USA's finest were out today as well - All 3 of them ! (and some others but theres a big gap in skill level from top to bottom) They were demolished by the equivalent world riders with a good ride by Cody Webb but still well off the pace. I fear theres some serious work for you guys to do before you have a worthy challenge to a world crown. Great second position for Dougie who's riding was much better than the result. Raga was on fire today and his second lap of 6 getting a 5 and 1 was pretty impressive when you look at the results of the other riders. talk later , gotta get off the shared computer
  18. I saw a 4t at the Mitchell being ridden by one of the minders and it looked great and sounded great . It's still a great bike to ride. Certainly my favourite bike I have ever had (when I could get it started ). I will no doubt get another one when its sorted.
  19. atomant

    Onza T-pro

Looks Nice . I like the rims I'm going to have to bling up my Onza too now! (Make it look good so people look at the bike and not the way I ride it! )
  20. Great pics Heath. Thanks very much
  21. Heath, You took 100 photos and the first one you show us is a Beta. Now how does that NOT suprise me :D
  22. I saw one 4rt ! I think it was John Sunter on it. It looked to be running very nicely.
  23. I have just come back from there and Alexz was riding very well. That’s an awesome result in light of the quality on the entry. Fair play I believe his first lap was only 4 as well Very impressive. I saw Jack give a determined performance and done well to pip Ross into 2nd. Well done Ross wasnt on the ball at all today except some flashes of brilliance on one of the sections which I saw him clean twice (section 8 I think) when I didn’t see anyone else do it at all whilst I was watching. Plenty of 5s being recorded there as well. I hope he has saved it all up for the US next week I also saw some great rides by Sam & Lee as well. The weather was superb and the location had stunning scenery. Nice day out for sure p.s. see you all on the plane on Wednesday
  24. I too am interested in the theory of a shorter swinging arm? Does anybody have some reliable knowledge on the subject?
