I see the forum has changed recently. Seems to be a bit of a backward step IMHO. The old forum was the most user friendly forum I have used, while the new version seems to have lost some of the really nice touches.
Don't get me wrong. Still the best trials forum going, just miss some of the nice old tricks.
Just checked the Clymer manual but the cota 200 isn't listed in it. If you can't find any other source 175ml is what is listed for the Cota 247 '67-'75.
More from my stash.
Can't really take credit. Check this blog http://montesacota348.blogspot.com/
Loads of great information and links to photos. Also there is a facebook group for the 348. Good place to ask for info.
Sounds great Tam.
Looking forward to them. Will a SACU license be required or will there be day licenses?
I suppose I better get my finger out and do some work on the 348 too
To the OP. There are quite a few sections each day that are reachable by car and then foot. Check the SSDT website and the program when you get up there. Of course, there is always Nevis FM when you are there.
Is it this one? Norton 500
The in-laws are just down the road from Kelty and there are a load of riders from the local club in that neighbourhood. Perhaps someone can go and 'see' it?
Yes, they should be treated with the Gaerne polish stuff (more like dubbin really) after every ride really.
You should be able to get a tube from wherever you got the boots from. I got mine from Trials UK if thats any help.
They cost a few bob so it's worth looking after them.
My guess is you care too much. I am also new to trials (and rubbish for that matter) but I can ride the same level in a trial as I can in practice because I don't care too much about what score I get generally. If I am doing reasonably well in a section and start thinking about the score before I am out then it all goes to pot.
It's called perfromance anxiety and quite a lot of men can suffer it when it comes to sex as well
Stop worrying about the score and just try to enjoy your ride as you do in practice. It will make a big difference.
Has anyone here moved the footrest position or otherwise modified the footrests on a Montesa Cota 348 or similar?
Would like to see how you have done it if you have.
This stuff knocks socks off wd40 for sticky stuff removal.
No aff.

A 125 is plenty powerful enough to get a new rider into trouble IMHO. You do have to work it a bit harder on some occasions where the extra torque of a bigger bike will just pull you up, but at least you don't have to hang on so tight the rest of the time!
Is there a route map out for the pre-65?
Going up on Friday for the first time and would like to know the best places to watch, especially on the saturday. Can't find a route map on the official six days site
Just for a different take on this question.
Look at what has happened to post -65 twinshock prices over the last few years.
What is next on the list to start getting more expensive rather than less?
