    Fantic 200

Engine and frame number never matched on Fantic's!
  3. Any Gasgas dealer like BVM or Gasgas in Buxton. It's just a Gasgas part!! Waste your money maybe as about £20.00 and they will fall out again! I think the Part number is ET30000CT2811 http://www.haventrialsport.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=100252
  4. Try the Mortimer club fun trials. No observers, just a practice............. Just behind Reading Services. See link below http://www.mortimerc...m/product-2.htm Or try Steve Saunders Trials School........ http://www.sxsuk.com/Default.aspx
  5. Tons of threads on here already about this but the one thing that changes is i think all the DVLA local offices close in November so all has to be done via Swansea... Click on link below for starters. http://www.trialscen...e-of-questions/ Also see VMCC link. They have a dating service (For bikes) if you have trouble with Honda... http://www.vmcc.net/lib_sos_form.pdf
  6. For cheap insurance try http://www.thebikeinsurer.co.uk/. My Fantic cost less than £75.00 fully comp or if you want proper insurance to cover events then use http://www.msminsurance.co.uk/
  7. First thing to do is get yourself a parts list from http://www.gasgasmotos.es/es/manuales/5.html Then look up the part number............ It'S bt27920010 Then Google the part number Splat shop showing in stock http://www.splatshop.co.uk/gasgas-pro-petrol-cap.html Or call Gas Gas UK 2moro http://www.gasgasuk.com/contact-gas-gas.php Hope that helps
  8. IRC fine on old style rims but just go down as soon as you hit a step on the new style rims.............

  10. http://www.inmotiontrials.com/product/inline-fuel-filter/
  11. Well not the same if you have the minarelli engine........
  12. Listed as the same here for £99.00. http://www.inmotiontrials.com/product/fantic-200-240-con-rod-kit/
  13. Every world round is shown on Motors TV the following Thursday normally at 8pm. http://tv.sky.com/tv-guide#/programme/detail/3735/558
  14. It's a pity when a group of riders of mixed ability (Hence ride different classes) enter a trial together, then travel many miles acroos the country to ride the trial after getting up at silly o'clock have the day extended even more by starting at mixed times. It also makes it very hard for support such as fuel when a club has no fuel trailer as in some trials riders can end up 2 hours apart! Don't see any reason or benefit why classes should be grouped together. Another nail in the road trial coffin!
  15. Bob still rides. A Scorpa these days down the West country.!!
  16. They break in the wind!!! Only put a horn on for the MOT!
  17. Just ignore the MOT stuff if under 3 years old !!!! So .............. Get a certificate of age from Honda UK or the Montesa importer at the time (Pidcocks) http://www.pidcock.com/ for an age related plate. You will need to give them your frame and engine number. Forget ‘Q’ plates as hard to get insurance at a sensible price. The importer will normally charge between £10 & £20 for this........... Insurance Get insurance on the frame number (Carol Nash will do this for two weeks) http://www.carolenas...CFcjKtAodkVMAnw you then have to give them the registration number when registered. Make sure you can get to the DVLA within 2 weeks of insuring it or they may cancel your policy. The DVLA Go on the internet and order a v55/5 from http://www.dft.gov.u...rder_forms.aspx or you can get one posted over the phone. When you get this fill it in with the obvious boxes but make sure you put it down as a 'trial bike' you don't need to fill out all the emissions info / power to weight etc etc, you don't need to fill out things to do with the MSVA test. This VMCC site says what boxes need to be completed. http://www.vmcc.net/lib_sos_form.pdf Just fill out your details; bike info make, colour, cc's etc. Go to your local DVLA without the bike first but with all your paperwork ( inc passport and utility bill) you pay them about £96 which includes your tax for a year when you are there on your first visit you will need to book the bike in for a inspection go back on your inspection date and will tell you on the day of inspection its registration Number and give you a tax disc Give the registration number to your insurance company. When you get log book just check the frame and engine number are correct. Then get a number plate made up http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1423.l2649 and fix with your tax disk to the bike. Job done Then if you really want to look legal get a bike speedo from Halfords or ebay http://www.ebay.co.u...=item5d39978c37 And a horn from the above or Sammy Miller as this will be needed when the MOT is first due! http://www.smproduct...19&keyword=horn Hope that helps !!!!!!!!!!
  18. Loads of threads on here about this subject...... See one on link below........... http://www.trialscen...42576-road-reg/ No speedo, lights or reflectors for daylight MOT.
  19. Bob Wright stocks them Or the French site has the bearing number http://fantic240pro....iques.htm#Seals Timken / NTN/ = 32005X 39,69(in) x 3,53(tore)
  20. The same as above except contact Gas Gas UK http://www.gasgasuk....act-gas-gas.php for the certificate of newness ! Rest is the same. N.B. I'm not sure if Gas Gas or Bill Pye charge for the paper work or what proof they need, Normally it's some pictures of the bike including engine & frame number photo's!
  21. Get a certificate of newness (for an age related plate) from Bill Pye (for Fantic's) http://www.nickandka...ldfantic.co.uk/ otherwise it will be a “Q” plate. Get a daytime MOT if over 3 years old which this will be! You can get a Daytime MOT from any bike MOT station. Remove any lights unless they are fully working for a daytime MOT all you need are road legal tyres and a horn ( get the £10 mega horn from Halfords) horn that's it; clearly your bike need to be road worthy i.e. no oil leaks; good brakes etc etc just book it in and get your MOT! If you want a full MOT you will need tail light and brake might operated by both front and rear levers; front light with main beam and dip. Insurance Get insurance on the frame number (Carol Nash will do this for two weeks) you then have to give them the plate number when registered; make sure you can get to the DVLA within 2 weeks of insuring it or they will cancel your policy. The DVLA On the DVLA internet site, download a V55/5 from www.dvla.gov.uk or you can get one over the phone. When you get this fill it in with the obvious boxes but make sure you put it down as a 'trial bike' you don't need to fill out all the emissions info / power to weight etc etc, you don't need to fill out things to do with the MSVA test. Just fill out your details; bike info make, colour, cc's etc. Go to your local DVLA without the bike first but with all your paperwork ( inc passport and utility bill) you pay them £96 which includes your £36.00 tax for a year when you are there on your first visit you will need to book the bike in for a inspection go back on your inspection date; they measure seat height and ground clearance - that's all; and will tell you on the day of inspection its registration number and give you a tax disc Give the registration number to your insurance company. When you get log book just check the frame and engine number are correct. Get a rear number plate made up and tax disc holder. Enter a Sammy Miller round!!!
  22. I know that this year it's all a massive learning exercise and a lot of pain but next year the paper work will (should) be the same so then it will just be a copy and paste exercise to change the dates and a few other details!!
  23. That's what i thought it was last year but all the ACU & FIM guys love to change the rules each year for so many things! Maybe to justify there jobs!!!
  24. Yes, Highlights are on Motors TV which is on Sky free to air & Freesat amongst others. The first round at Sheffield will be shown on Tuesday 8th January at 1.10pm. It's on the EPG already and is on for 1.5 hours. Further repeats over the next 7 days...
