    DVLA - 1st reg

To be fair mate your not that good at it or this post would not be on here. I think the DVLA guy was right to question the fact that the insurance was not correct for the bike in the first place.

Yes you forgot to mention the most important thing. It's an import. If it was a dealer purchase all would have been done for you.

    DVLA - 1st reg

Maybe it's not totally a DVLA issue but Bennett's insurance being not up to scratch for trials bikes! MSM does include road work between sections within competition so you don't have to spend that extra
  4. Check with Craig at http://www.yamaha-majesty.com/ PS Hope you gave the ebayer some poor feedback!!!
  5. Have you spoken to Craig at http://www.yamaha-majesty.com/
  6. Hi, Pop over the Wiltshire / Somerset border on Sunday to the Mendip Vale trial, Well worth it.
  7. Top man, Not the Boot Buddy but the same thing i was looking for.... Cheers for your help..
  8. Sorry, Thought that's why you wanted it insured. I can understand that as it makes it very hard to trace if stolen as it won't be on the DVLA records.
  9. Does anyone know who stocks and sales 'Boot Buddy' in the UK or by mail order? I have seen a few guys with them and now want a pair. It looks like a elasticated cover that goes over the boot top and riding trousers to stop all the mud and crap going down your boots. The ones I've seen have been red with Boot Buddy UK * USA in white lettering. I asked the guys who had them and they got them at a show but need to know a supplier. Did try Goggling it but to no avail.. Any help much appriciated.
  10. Try MSM, Sure they will give you a price......... http://www.msminsurance.co.uk/
  11. It must be the case that if the trial is marked out for Pre65 / twin shock bikes with no stop rules correctly then the right calibre of people will ride the trial no matter what bike they are on. Does it make any difference if an over 50 rider on a mono rides the same section as they will be in another class to the twin shock or Pre65? If it
  12. Nothing to do with the band as the 4 i know about all have 2011 Gas Gas's on DID rims. They only go flat when riding sections or between sections. They stay up all week if just sat in the garage or a old bath...
  13. Basingstoke or Alton must be the nearest but none in Andover.
  14. Your the 4th guy i know with the same problem. 3 guys i ride with have changed to Mich lites because of the same problem. The other is still trying to find out the problem and has even had it changed by the supplier and it still goes down. These are all on DID rims so nothing to do with rim tapes. It seems that they go flat after a steep or hard hit. They are rubbish on rocks as easy to pop of the rim. Great in mud thou. Any one else having problems with them ?
  15. You only need to look at Golden Valley and Bath Classic clubs results on the internet in the south west and see that they both have a class for over 50's on Mono bikes and from riding over 50 on a Gas Gas I've never had a problem. One reason is not all older guys a strong enough to handle big old Pre 65's or have the time and money to look after them these days but enjoy riding with guys from the same generation. Look how much a good pre 65 bike costs these days. Some are more than double a good second hand mono.... For God's sake,If it's going to stop a club folding with lack of entries then go for it and except the mono's as more will moan if your club folds !!!!!!!!
  16. If your just starting out you only need a 250. Pointless going for a 290 or 300.
  17. I think Gordon is still about and Scott his son still rides in the UK. They still have 2 shops, One in Guildford and one in Aldershot, You can Google for more info. I would ask Kev Hipwell at Gas Gas UK via the link below..... http://www.gasgasuk.com/support.php
  20. Try MSM. http://www.msminsurance.co.uk/ You will need a ground anchor and Thatcham approved chain but well worth it.........
  21. I wish Gas Gas would do the same with kick start quadrent gears. They break all the time and even if ones break after a few months they won't replace it. Same part number for years and still not fixed it let alone get warranty on it. Your right, Top marks to Beta and the Lampkins. Wish Mr Shirt & co would note as they warranty record as Gas Gas is like

Just phone or email a dealer like BVM. They will sort out prices and mail order them the same day. It's not a problem.. http://www.bvm-moto.co.uk/
