after much speculation,rumour and down right lies the club has asked me to make the following statement A rider at the recent normandale trial,who is a landowner of one of the venues used,was given a dispensation with regard to time penalties because an unknown rider had failed to close the gate to the venue in question,cattle had then strayed onto the road.Understandably the rider wanted to recover his cattle and avoid a possible road accident.The timekeepers and scorers were unaware of this and recorded the rider as excluded out of time.this was rectified as soon as the error was noticed. the club stands by the decision taken.the rider in question has very broad shoulders and has made no comment about this,but the club wants to make clear what was done and why. on a personal note i have ridden with this guy for many years,he is as honest as the day is long he is never the last to finish a trial,quite the opposite. on behalf of the MANSFIELD MAUN MCC

very good trial,we did the medium wheel route.the sections were spot on. well done to all concerned.

hi dave,I think mansfield maun are running the trial,it is t`shock and pre 65 combined i`ve heard that it will be at longcliffe tops,not sure of the date.

you would probably be better going to a classic rather than modern club not too far from you is DALES CLASSIC or PEAK CLASSIC both clubs do multi routes to suit all abilities - have fun !!

there are as many answers to that as there are owners !! my prefered method is caustic,others set it on fire,others cut it open and clean manually take your pick

use castrol TTS at 50 to 1.

very good trial,the extra couple of sections were more of a challenge 5 laps of 12 sections made for a full days riding,a bloody good

the frame is weak at the engine mounting points,also check the crankcase and clutch cover near the back brake lever stop.other than that they are indestructable

bolting horses and stable doors spring to mind !!! twinshock is going exactly the same way.

I have done a couple of trials on it and have discovered it is hugely over geared,now fitted with a 60t rear sprocket,8 more than before !!! it is now much better,very usable in 2nd hopefully next time out i will be further up the results sheet.
