  1. Nice work. you might want to raise the back end of the rear guard though....as the nobbies might catch it on full compression.

Hi Andy, the topic ran for quite a while, and I'm sure it was still active into the new year as I was one of the many contributors.........can't find it now?!?
  3. My TLR 200 finds neutral easy from cold to warm...but when HOT is a pig. never hit neutral when shifting gears.
  4. Andy, are the Tlr forks not 35mm ?
  5. Hi NB, the cycle speedo's are cheep because like most electronic gear they've come down in price...they also sell a lot so can keep the price down. Can't recommened any particular brand, but sure someone will soon.
  6. MMMmmm, thought the ATV's (ATC200) had the ignition trigger and bob weight advance in the head....maybe that was just the early ones. Either way, if you want an adjustable fireing point you will need the xl/xr type head....or a CDI that suits your crank fired ignition....but I have no idea what would suit you set up.
  7. well, as 90% of tyres seem to be tubless nowadays, and saves f*cking about with security bolts....I would say go for it.....others will say you won't get a ride in the Scottish!!!!!!!!!
  8. Nice one Penno. Sometimes just voicing your thoughts helps clear your mind.....result, you find your own annswer.
  9. I see what your saying, and I can see he was following the crease line in the tank.........but I agree, it needed to be level. Right, now where's my beer gone?
  10. might be worth trying chrome moly rods with the tig ....or if in doubt stainless tig rods stick to anything.
  11. cool dude, glad your sorted
  12. hi andy, i have a honda crf 150 after market alloy one on mine, was $19...that's less than a tenner in your money. also heard that ty levers are the same spline and will fit.
  13. hi crowley, tried to scroll across to see your other pictures either side of the fantic.......wouldn't let me do it for some reason, even when i logged in to my photobucket account. anyone else having a problem?
  14. Craig's bang on there....you need to push/tap the rod down to break the taper lock, and then pull up on the rod then lock the nut. WFO is also correct as a Honda mechanic told me the 'trick' too.

  17. the scott ellis bike is a beaut.....can't believe there's not a classic brit fan that wouldn't want to have one.

Thanks for the update Ross, do hope the new owner keeps us upto speed with the project and looking at the amount of followers of this thread most of the classic trials world must be watching too.
  19. What big red said, sounds like fuel starvation. Nice looking bike, but if it were mine I would have a foam type pod filter on there not just a mesh bell mouth.
  20. put a earth lead from the rear tank mount earth...directly to the motor (cam sprocket cover).....no improvement.
  21. bashplate replied to bashplate's topic in Honda
Hi, a Motion Pro throttle cable for an XR200 will fit straight on....part # 02-0036 Cheers Trev
  22. Not tried the earth yet till weekend, but on another note....is the clutch cover removable with the motor in the frame??? Other honda 200's no problem, but the bracket which is welded to the frame for the kickstarter 'stop' looks like it might be in the way on the TLR?
  23. bashplate replied to sherco29's topic in Honda
I heard a rumour that it had been sold
  24. looks like a shedworks tank and seat unit
  25. will give that another go tel, already had the continuity meter on it and seemed like a good connection to all other earth points.
