  1. The quietest bike I've 'barely' heard of is the Evo 250 4 stroke IMHO or any other Beta with a dead stator
  2. I've had enough, it's been so long since I posted one up and I am addicted remember?
  3. I'm sure the locals call that; 5h1t-kickin' music?
  4. That vid has been on here before and so had the part2 which showed his demise..it got removed pretty quickly from TC.
  5. I tell you what?..you'll shag anything ... Edinburgh=21st Century 'Deliverance'

Personally? If I were in a position to buy a new (to me) bike I would be looking for a 2008/9 Wayne
  7. Surely this is some kind of joke
  8. Just to clarify..I thought we were talking about a 250cc bike? Typically the carbs that we would be comparing would be the stock 26mm PB/h/l/b? Dellorto and the aftermarket 28mm Keihn. A 250cc engine may not have enough air velocity at low revs for the Keihn to do it's best especially compared to a 26mm Dell, whereas a 280/300 would have a more suitable air flow rate for a 28mm carb. IMHO

Looks like the old 'Cold-Sherco-Start-up' routine is still required:- Bike from cold:- petrol on/choke on/ clutch in /top gear selected/rock that baby back'n'forth till the clutch free's up. Back into neutral and that girl should fire up with 1 or 2 kicks 'cos you've just primed the cylinder. Clutch won't be perfect 'til you get the bike warm.
  10. The bikes that I've tried with a Keihn have gained a lot of power at higher revs (too much for me) at the expense of losing a bit of bottom end torque. Also,as previously mentioned, they seem to need constant tuning (mixture screw)due to the different temps/atmospheric conditions of the day?
  11. Some seats are much worse than others at Sheffield...but I'm still waiting for Neale's reply
  12. Got to get me one of those calenders!
  13. Could you tell me your seat numbers so I can book them next year?
  14. No,n,n,n,no...off the Gasser..in case it's restricting the pressure wave. Like I said it's a blind stab in the dark. Also ,I've heard of Gaspeople slotting the mount holes for the 'hall effect' pick up so it's closer to the flywheel..we're talking 'feeler guage' clearances here though !
  15. That 'aint no bike, that's a M1 Abrams with the turret off. I'm a bit concerned that it won't start up even with the ether 'cos I've seen that stuff fire up deceased engines...Long shot..take the silencer off!!??
  16. I've watched that for 30mins.. solid.
  17. I've never been in a more cramped seat than Sheffield Edit: I don't consider myself 'tall' either. I'm 5'10''...Taurus, GSOH, looking for female to share country walks ....Sorry, wrong web-site.
  18. Well ,you may regret asking that.....Dirty Sherco rider
  19. This is the guy I'm referring to, his dvd's are very good, he has a gift for communicating the basics and finer points of trials riding..He covers clutch set up and use (popping)...only not in this extract
  20. Do a quick search to find Copey's explanation of 'popping-the-clutch''.
  21. I've only seen that done once before..and that was in a cartoon
  22. Very good..now make yourself some flags
  23. Sorry to here that Alan, I hope they both turn up.......reading through the lists of topics in this specific forum is getting to be depressing and enraging at the same time .I wish you lots of luck in this matter. I'd like,if we could, to highlight these 'BIKE STOLEN' threads to maximise the views as I reckon the more awareness we have of these stolen bikes floating around the better the chances are that they'll turn up..It's just a theory
