  1. Sorry to here that Alan, I hope they both turn up.......reading through the lists of topics in this specific forum is getting to be depressing and enraging at the same time .I wish you lots of luck in this matter. I'd like,if we could, to highlight these 'BIKE STOLEN' threads to maximise the views as I reckon the more awareness we have of these stolen bikes floating around the better the chances are that they'll turn up..It's just a theory
  2. +1 in agreement here. Only fit them if you've got something to hide
  3. I'm sorry but that's just not British..the golden rule is:_ After a fall..You always wait for your mate to move before you start laughing.
  4. The original poster of this topic has a photo in his profile of a 2002 txt Gasser not a Pro..they have very different gearboxes . Bearing in mind the age of the machine and the cost/slavver time to investigate/remedy the fault , I would personally just tolerate the problem
  5. Me too,but I can only find a price of 30 not 17 Euros?
  6. The second to last back-flip @8.30 I think I've seen the answer to my own question @8.15:- ''Hey, lets use a small ice-berg as a surf board''..genius..not!
  7. There used to be a guy on here from Canada, who posted a photo of his kit and in it was a short barreled .357 magnum pistol...for the bears?? Yoiks!
  8. Amy Lee , without the male vocal of the 'chart' version......
  9. After diving back to earth when landing that back-flip, he's got some bottle.... or he's not wired up properly??
  10. 'Cos the 250 was the sharper (especially 2002/2003) until about 2008.
  11. Yup, mud+leaves at this time of year will gum things up like 5h1t to a blanket. The worst thing for me is when your front tyre fouls and locks. I've had a few different makes of bike over the years and needed to raise the front mudguard/brace on all of them except the Shercos. Fortunately where there are mud'n'leaves there are usually plentiful supplies of 'scraper' twigs as well. Trials riding....it's not all glamour you know
  12. I don't mean to be contrary but...I'm no expert and I've got a 290. It has a carb' spacer, retarded timing+ boysen reeds which makes it a big softie...if I lend my bike to an expert they can't wait to hand it back saying that it's ''gutless''

    Stolen Gas Gas

That's bad news..it seems like you've gone to a lot of trouble to defend your bike in the first place. Like the other replies have said:- Keep a look out for all trials bikes in all the classifieds, Gumtree etc. as unfortunately we cannot always depend on the police in these situations.I hope it turns up,quickly. Some TC people on here ,in the past, have kept their wits about them and been instrumental in the return of stolen bikes to their owners. I'm sorry but all I can offer you is to summon the wrath of the Trials Central Gods and wish a curse on the ****ing pond-life, scum that have taken your property.I wish them real harm and distress
  14. I read about this when I were't'apprentice...25yrs ago An aloominum piston will leech heat away where a carbon piston wont.I bet carbon pistons can be very abrasive under certain conditions? I reckon the problem with pistons made of low thermally conductive material (i.e. carbon re-enforced fibre) would be the additional heat load imparted into the cylinder-liner surface around the piston/rings, which would cause the oil film on the cylinder wall to flash-off. That may lead to scuffing of the piston compression rings. Maybe the extra heat kept in the combustion chamber couldn't be turned into better thermal efficiency on a two-stroke (it might just go out of the port to heat the exhaust excessively?)..Can you tell I'm just guessing?

    315 side cases

From what I remember when I changed my '98 casings from bronze to silver paint..I first had an idea to rub the surface down with a mind to buffing up to a polished, bare-metal, finish. I knew that my bike had one previous owner (and he hadn't touched it) so the half dozen or so layers of paint that had to be removed were straight from the factory. It's little 'nerdy' things like this that get Montesa their cult following Back on topic..I remember that the silver paint I used was the same as used on an Vauxhall Astra G (MK4)..I think
  16. Holy moly, I'd better watch ma mouth in future...can you really run up ropes with those split toed slippers?
  17. Oh nnnnn, no..The first advert is just a continuation of the 'Lads having the ultimate part' myth that MTV and advertising executives like to perpetuate The second one ..well ...I'm sure you can see through that one..ahem....moving on:- Gj, I bet your reading material is something along the line of FHM/Loaded and Barely-legal magazines As a dedicated anti-lager man the only ads on Tv ,that raise an interest in that product for me, are the black and white Stella Artois series and this one that pokes fun at the whole TV sales industry :- Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you one of the best adverts ever (IMHO) on TV:- Merry Christmas TC people
  18. Carlos Teves gets home from the maternity hospital with his new-born baby and his girlfriend ...but Carlos being Carlos kicks off in a rage, accusing his girlfriend of having another man. He screams: ''Wheye ma beby no look like me? She replies : ''Give me a minute, I'm just boiling the kettle''
  19. Now that's a funny emoticon ( I could never use it mesel but..still funny)
  20. Hmm, I'm suspicious when an 'anti-E.U.monetary policy' presentation is voiced over by an American America= incubator of the original toxic debt spores. As it turns out the original poster of this video (not the TC member)is one of those conspiracy theory nuts, you know?..the:- 'Illuminati/new world order/aliens/elitists are ruling us from behind closed doors'.. type. You've got to be very wary when these Michael Moore clones try to over-simplify the world's problems with a video.
  21. He, he Nige...(somebody help me, I'm siding with Dabster) Comrade Bilco , you're wide of the mark ,loans (debt) is how the western world ticks (like it or lump it). You are getting mixed up by not distinguishing between manageable debt and reckless debt.
