+1 here for the 'IRIS chains are sewage' club.
Ok, that was just my opinion, here are the facts which shaped my opinion:
Chain was 3 months old (which as others will confirm, means; I used it twice-ish ..I don't get out much y'nah:( ).
Chain snapped/Flywheel cover trashed/Clutch slave cylinder trashed/Boot sliced/Ankle sore/lesson learned.
I'm not the sharpest tool in the box but only really stoooopid people fail to learn from their own mistakes, I won't be buying an IRIS again......cue some smart 4r5e saying ''but it's good enough for Raga''..etc..

Ahh, that rear shock control arm?..I see what you're getting at.
That looks like a very labour intensive exhaust assembly when you get a close look at what's involved with all that fabrication and welding

I can only find this on YouTube but it will do, even though Murray and James are strangely 'sans' emotion during the 1st lap commentary.
It's difficult to explain the enormity of the outcome without a little 'scene setting' to give it all some context.
Everyone involved with F1 knew that Senna's McLaren was seriously under-performing in'93 especially compared to the Williams of Prost.
Rumour was, that Senna initiated a race-by-race clause in his contract in order to spur McLaren on to improving the car and also to allow him an easier move to another team if the opportunity presented itself.
Prost also had a clause in his contract stating that he was to be no.1 Williams driver and his team-mate could be anyone else but..Ayrton Senna!
At Donny '93 the Williams were about 2(?)secs a lap faster in qualifying on the very small circuit so it looked very ominous for every other team.
After the race; the cherry-on-top-of-the-icing, on-top-of-the-cake for Senna was at the post race conference where Prost spoke first, bleating about the limitations of his Williams on the track. Then Senna was asked about his perception of the day and he simply asked Prost if (with perfect manners)perhaps he would like to swap cars !!This really shut Prost up and raised a chuckle from the media boys.
The Professor (Prost) had a reputation for controlling and manipulating all aspects of F1 but sometimes that was at the expense of the one thing that he should have been controlling and manipulating..the car.

Yes, but will it blend?
Looks like a bit of Beta Evo going on at the front 3/4 there.
Looks very light, is it?
Looks like a ridge down the frame, that's gonna be uncomfortable.
Looks like the rear shock arrangement is begging for a side impact.
Looks as if that rear shock set up is to remind you to wear boots when you ride...imagine getting a nip from that spring?
Looks good !

Big soppy tart that I am, I can't bring myself to watch the Senna DVD ..I thought Senna was the perfect F1 racer (perfect as in 'has flaws' perfec) I got upset when he died, I've had no real interest in F1 since Senna's crash.
I'll get round to watching it one day, please tell me that the DVD incudes Jon Watson making his retirement decision, Senna's charity work,Prost's backstage political scheming and the Euro GP @Donnington '93 AKA 'Senna-in-a-can'?
Right..I'm off for a blub now.

Hey, you're not the only one (as I posted) but kudos to you for coming back and finishing off the thread, some peeps would not have admitted to any error and just left the topic hanging...enjoy your bike..you lucky bu**er.

Yup ,the one I saw ,playing up, exactly as you describe had a 3 position choke:
Off...1/2 on..... and full on??
Once the embarrassment caused by inadvertent 1/2 choke selection had subsided I cadged a wee go......a very nice bike indeed (for me,plodder-man)smooth and quiet.

:huh:That's cold man, cold

Hmm..I like the sound of this (own engines and frames I mean) but I much prefer the name JOTAGO..they can use that if they want 5% royalties though !
-
Ho,ho only 11 mins to retort...DON'T FEED THE TROLL
-
Man, don't y'all see?
Never mind testing Super-toni for PED's we should have a delegate from the FIM or ACU licking his back tyre to detect traces of this arsol (sp?) !

Do the results for mud = snow when you spray this on ?
Tyre grip in an aerosol

A prolific fund raiser and champion of sick childrens' charities .
Anyone remember Louis Theroux's documentary on Sir Jimmy?
The private man and his public persona were poles apart..the original 'enigma wrapped up in a puzzle/ wrapped up in a punch in the face'.
Jim broke his ankle on a charity mountain run with the documentary cameras in his face and never dropped out of character even when he was receiving treatment at hospital.
He kept his deceased mothers bedroom perfectly preserved as a type of shrine to her memory.
Louis pulled the 'douche-bag' trick of convincing Sir Jimmy that they were off-camera when they weren't, so Jim used the opportunity to warn Louis off by telling the fable of; 'when I was a bouncer in Glasgow and used to beat people up'.
I was at a charity do once (honest)and Jim was there, after a too many drinks a few dick-heads approached Jim with the same ,bitter, line, something like; 'Why don't you auction off some of your bling..ha,ha...'etc.
He rode it off like a pro, arranged an auction, let the bids go up then bought his own bracelet back with the final bid.. I dunno if it was a 'fix' or not as Jim was involved in the wrestling scene which we all know is bogus?

So was it just an urban myth that the cr250 had the same 315 bottom end?

To paraphrase Telecat:
'Nuff said.

About 5 mins slow....but bloody funny

Weirdo !
If he was born with skin like that it would've been classed as a birth defect.

In a statement today,John Terry has flatly denied racially abusing Anton Ferdinand , but agreed that he would 5h4g his wife though.

Hey, I think I've just seen Michael J. Fox at our local florist...I couldn't be sure 'cos he had his back to the fuscia !!

..Yes, never put the fuel tank back on in a hurry !
I did, once, and I know of others as well....it can nip the throttle cable and rev to the moon !
Great bike, loved mine, has got to be one of the toughest water cooled trials bike ever made.

Yes, sad news ..I can't help thinking it's an un-neccessary waste... there shouldn't be open wheel racers on oval tracks, it's way too risky.
