  1. the water boils turning to steam. It removes oil and grime in the process
  2. probably got original clutch fibre plates in it and had multiple soakings in water contaminated gear oil...you can file as much as you like but you'll never restore the fibre material to new unless..you replace them
  3. I understood. Andy, the specification you're seeking will most likely be contained in the user manual for that bike. Not sure where to point you but someone more familiar with the Mont may know where a web link for the manual is..
  4. Leeky, I feel your pain. ..went through similar issue years ago. .was a defective Michelin though...dealer supplied a Dunlop....it still worked. ...I wore it out and got a Michelin ☺
  5. start simple 1. Spark plug 2. Fuel flow 3. Compression 4. Exhaust and combustion chamber cleanliness or seek a mechanic

  8. factory is a few kg lighter. ...
  9. the gear comes off with an appropriate puller or by using an hydraulic press
  10. check chassis number against range in the 09/11 parts manuals

  13. I also noticed Fajardo uses the Grimeca clutch and brake master cylinders as found on the standard EVO
  14. I noticed the Factory EVOs tend to get brake squeal....
  15. rear disc, chain tensioner block, black master cyls with anodised caps....
  16. I dont think the offset was different (although I didn't measure it), but I'm confident it will fit, it's just the discs were slightly different diameter and may need a spacer on each side as the EVO swingarm is slightly wider at the rear. BETA UK list a spacer kit for this but they've discontinued it
