Why not just put this class in the s3 rounds on the 50/50 route...as a precursor to riding the championship route. Prize for the champ but the top 5 should move up each year to encourage development and prevent pot hunting. Should have a similar class for over 23s but that's another story
O to weigh under 10 stone again. Think I'd need two 125s stuck together. But my brother rode a 125 for many years on club level hard route with great success
Just looked on splat shop...they have the separate ohlins springs and the weight conversion chart to pick the right one based on your daughters weight. Check it out http://www.splatshop.co.uk/ohlins-rear-shock-spring.html
Not sure you can get a softer spring without investing in an ohlins shock. Then you get the choice of 3 different springs I belive. As well as adjustable damping rebound etc. should be able to pick a second hand one up no worries or I think there on trial enduro direct
Tip; Don't put too much oil in. I run mine with about 350-360ml and it's fine. When my dad used to maintain mine and my brothers bikes he ran then at 330ml as it meant he got 3 changes from a 1 litre bottle, a bit extreme but never had issues
Have had gassers for over 10 years always used ATF never had any issues....sold a bike to a mate who ran it on light gear oil as recommended by his dealer....suffers from terrible clutch drag and lack of feel.
Irrelevant really as if you ride at more than one club regularly then you will join them all as it's cheaper then paying day rate membership every time.
Had the same issue with my 300 pro all year, I thought it was because I have a fly wheel weight...discovered the other day the bolt tightens up then spins loose.....new bolt fitted slightly longer so it goes all the way up and through and ha ho problem solved
Four of us travel together and there's usually two on each route.....interest that you mention it's a competition....perhaps it's time the acu stepped up and made the 50/50 route a championship to progress riders....at S3 rounds normally around 50% of riders are on the lower course! Make it a championship with the top 5 each year moving up...that way it's a completion for everyone. Not just making up the numbers
Hi there just wondering if anybody knows a paint code or colour name for the dull 'off gold' colour of the 1987 tarres rep. Can find shiny shiny gold dead easy but that really won't look right, cheers
The 250 is the ideal bike for most trials riders but if you have to have the 300(I do for road trials nationals etc that's fine but recommend a flywheel weight
Can just lift the bike on the apico stand. Iv never been a fan of those so called "jack in the box" stands with the handle. They only raise the bike to the same height as the apico but with out the lifting. Personally the best
At least one rider in the D class last year and he finished 3rd......bearing in mind several rounds were in the West Country last year think he did more travelling then most....damn right he should get the chance to compete in a British championship in Scotland....just as there should really be a round in Wales and Ireland but can't have it all. Do all rounds count this year??
