4T Rear Shock
A proper sprung and set up shock will work and do the job as mine is, But having changed from a Gas Gas with the 3 way Reiger the Beta shock is terrible. A friend has fitted a Reiger to his Evo and it's transformed the bike. I need to save some pennies and get one!

4T Rear Shock
I think most later Beta shocks are Fisher Price!!! Why can't they fit a decent one, The Factory lookalike models are supposed to have a better shock but I think that's marketing BS. The proper factory bikes are running a Showa or TRP I believe. It is a Sachs as standard.

Gear Oil In Cooling System?
The black stuff in the casing is the original coating (powder?). It was probably coated after casting then the faces machined. Coolant will soften it and it will peel away, Just have a scrape to rid it of any loose bits, Seen this in many water pump casings, nowt to worry about.

Mx Bars On A Trials Bike?
How do you get steel bars to fit fatbar clamps then? This post was from a 2011 Sherco owner wanting advise on what bars to use and it's been led down the road to bars that are not obtainable for his model of bike with out changing his top yoke to one from a BSA bantam!

Not sure exactly what the difference is, There's a cheap 02 one just gone on ebay, might be worth a try at that price. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262021884308?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

It will be a Grimeca, They use the same pads as the AJP 4 pots from 2001 to 2013. http://www.splatshop.co.uk/galfer-168-front-brake-pads-ajp-4-pot.html.

Poor Jotagas, I was going to post something about the TRS along the lines of the Xispa/Sherco incident but I don't know the in's and outs so I wont shout my mouth off. Good luck to Jotagas I hope they survive and I also wish TRS the same.

Something Doesn't Feel Right
As Billy said, Sounds like a lean condition, Chuck a new plug in too as 4t's eat them.

Beta Techno Rear Brake Lever
It's a shame Beta parts very soon get obsolete on the older models, I think it's a plan to sell newer bikes. For instance, You can not get gaskets for the 2006 Rev 50 anymore among a pile of other things.

2004 Gas Gas Txt 280 Vs 2008 Beta Rev 3 250?
Beta, No Contest!

Beta Techno Rear Brake Lever
Rev 3 won't fit unless i'm really mistaken, Try Trials and Tribulations, They are great for older bike parts.

Txt250 99 Reeds And Flywheel Weight
Gas Gas UK will be able to help with the reeds, Or get some Boyesens'. You really don't want a flywheel weight on that old engine, The flywheel and crank weigh a ton already, Plus I don't think weights were produced for the flywheel but it depends on what system it is running, Ducati?
