I own 1 2005 this is my second,first 1 got nicked,put a 150 kit on which allows to pull second gear better,but you could go bigger..and i'm 16 stone,i have mine set up so i can ride it 99% of the time without useing the clutch, biggest drawback is the ground clearance,spares well engine wise TTR/YBR for engine bits.also can only get pattern rear mudguards.Sprockets np brakes np,Also the front forks if they have the blue caps,are non adjustable,for damping and rebound.But the bike does what i want it to do.

I should check your rear silencer first, drill the rivets out and check the packing is not saturated with oil because there looks like a lot of smoke from the rear silencer joint also.and running it with the choke on won't help.Oil Seal part no M1217001 size 25x40x8

As been said both bikes are good in there own way,also test ride both bikes if possible because they feel totally different as oni nou says.Gas Gas will have the famous clutch rattle.which will disappear when clutch lever is pulled in.also they are prone to kickstart gears chipping,video's on you tube.Beta prone for water pump case corrosion and the Stator failing. other than that both are good bikes.

Yes try super unleaded it was common problem on the Techno well mine used to do it also.

Remove your pads and check them also check your disc i had same problem on a Gas Gas i used to own,Pads might be worn or contaminated.also there is also a clutch adjusting screw just under the mid box for your clutch.well there is on my 2007 might be a good idea to change your gearbox oil if you have just bought it.
