  1. The crank has a inner bearing race on it you will get a new one when you buy a new bearing so that will not be an issue they can be tricky to get off though and i'm not sure if a standard 241 had that type of bearing from the factory maybe been added by a previous owner, as for the seal face it can be sleeved fairly easily where are you located?

  3. The easiest and cheapest way is to put a pit of fuel pipe over the throttle cable on the carb end

  7. Also most of the info you find online is for the more common type of motoplat where the switching electronics are within the coil yours is not this type so the info does not apply

Ok I'm sparking again now stator was bad but had a spare the readings are as follows coil primary 1.5 ohms coil secondary 18.2 Kohms Blue wire to blue wire 281 ohms Black to grey 25.2 ohms grey to ground 107 ohms black to ground 82 ohms blue wire to earth several Mohms so no connection really yellow wire is lighting yellow/green from ignition unit to earth white from ignition unit to kill switch other side of kill switch to ground hope this helps Paul

I am just about to look at one with no spark and i have a running one to compare so will let you know the reading the ignition you have is the type with the separate ignition unit usually hiding between the headstock gussets the coil should be a single wire type 1.5ohm connected to the green wire the white wire should go to the kill switch you should also see a voltage between the two blue wires when you kick it over the black and grey are the trigger wires i'll let you know the resistance once I've measured mine

  17. my carb is set up as follows dellorto phbl25 Slide 40 Pilot 33 Main 92 Needle 036 second clip down from top Hope this helps mine runs perfectly My Ignition timing by the way is set at 1.8mm btdc
  18. Might be reeds but they normally cause low speed running problems is the ignition all ok advancing as it should ? what jets are in your carb? I will be pulling the carb off mine tommorrow night I will have a look at whats in it
  19. Is the exhaust clear particularly the center box they have to be cut open and re welded to clear them out so most probably never been done from new
  20. Hi Yes that is normal you can find a diagram on the gas gas website its in the parts book for the 1991 327 aire model any problems pm me and ill dig it out for you Cheers Paul
  21. If you go on the Gas Gas website and download the manual for the 1991 aircooled 327 there is a diagram on there or if you pm me your email i'll send you a copy the forks are identical to the Beta
  22. pretty sure beta recommended 70-1 i run mine with 15ml oil per litre or 66-1 with no problems at all
