Beta Tr34 Timing- Unsure How To Proceed
your best bet is to use a dti gauge to find tdc then mark your flywheel and case the turn the engine back 1.6mm on the clock and mark the flywheel again then as you say line up the holes in the flywheel and stator using a 2.5mm drill bit the holes will end up somewhere near the 4-5 o clock position this should get you in the correct screw holes on the stator you can then use the marks you put on the flywheel and case to check the timing with a strobe light once the motors running if you need to

good bike either way just ride it shock reservoir should be on a bracket off the reed block out the way and just make sure you don't seize it as pistons are unobtainable

Beta Zero Frameoff Rebuild 1990
just checked and the proper timing figure is 2.2-2.3mm btdc its hard to say if your timing is advanced without seeing the bike as it could also be carb related with those symptoms (weak mixture) to get the timing spot on you really need a dial gauge with an adapter for the plughole

Beta Zero Frameoff Rebuild 1990
there is a small 2mm hole in the flywheel and on in the stator you need to put a pin in these holes to line them up at around 2mm btdc but this is only from memory so best check for the exact figure the holes will end up around the 4-5 o clock position

Tr34C Rear Shock Length
A tr35 one whitch i think is the same measures 300mm bolt centre to bolt centre. I have used a shock from a gas gas txt pro i had to move the top mounting down 25mm and make a few small mods to the lower linkage to get clearance but now it works great and ebays full of them

Recommandation Depending Plug For Tr 34
i run mine on the standard b8es with no problems the plug does get a bit oily though i dont think motoplats are to keen on resistor type plugs as for fuel two litres would run mine for about 3 hours at least and choke is only needed when the engine is stone cold i alos run standard jetting and 60/1 fuel mix

200 Cota Timing Help Please
Hi ignition timing from memory is around 20-21 degrees btdc you will need a plug stop tool and a degree disc i however had exactly the same problem with mine and it turned out to be the replacement coil i had fitted pu the old genuine motoplat one and it fired straight up. you have to make sure the kickstart gear is set properly so it disengages at the top of its stroke if you get it wrong you will damage you clutch case regards Paul

Montesa Cota 223
don't know where the cucumber thing came from google translate version of something? anyway if you do the maths a cota 200 barrel bored to accept a standard 247 piston 72.5mm would give you 222.9 cc this could be good fun as my cota 200 is getting a bit of piston slap watch this space It appears that the 247 and 200 share the same gudgeon pin height and diameter
