TC Forum rules....
"Advertising of ANY nature is strictly prohibited from these forums. Messages specifically advertising items, products, companies or services with the intent of financial gain by the poster will be deleted and the user banned with no further warning. This rule is firmly enforced. This also applies to Wanted Ads. Please do not post "Is anybody selling..." type posts. Trials Central provide a free Classified advertising system, accessible via the front page of this site for the purpose of private individuals buying and selling. Commercial advertising in any form apart from official Trials Central sponsor advertising is strictly prohibited on any part of this website."
Appreciate you wanting more info on the bike, but don't push the "For Sale" bit

It's well known that I don't ride, but I do attend most of the World Rounds and have followed things with interest. I got the press release on my phone from the ACU regarding the Novogar going No-Stop yesterday and said to my good lady "Ooh, that's important - better get it online". She doesn't know much about Trials (but is keen to learn!) so I had to explain the whole No-Stop/Stop thing to her and about declining entries etc etc.
I told her the way things stand at the moment she could enter the World Championship and would fail every single section but as long as she passed through the entry cards and was seen to make some sort of valid attempt (i.e. fall off at the first pebble) then she'd be within the top 15 in the world. Her response? "That's ****ing crazy!" - and she's right.
The job is broken good 'n' proper. I don't know how to fix it, but I do know the FIM aren't exactly known for their decision-making skills.
Aside from the Novogar announcement - and what prompted this discussion in the first place was what JD said this week. It made very interesting reading and I agree with his comments totally - so much so, I don't mind linking to it for those who have no idea what it's all about - clicky here (There ya go Dicko - bit of traffic your way )
I also agree with Ishy's idea on making the SSDT a WTC event. The Scott is another potential. Both are rideable by the Clubmen, but tough enough to take marks off the top boys if tweaked just a little. I'm not familiar enough with the scene in other countries to comment on their traditional trials, but am sure they could condition some of their more popular "traditional" events to test the best whilst still being able to be entered by far more than can at present.
You only have to look at how happy Dougie was to return to the SSDT/Scott and how Fujigas was like a kid on Xmas morning when he rode the Scott to see these are the types of events these guys want to ride. Bou would adapt and enjoy every second no matter what you threw at him. Raga may well hiss and spit as it doesn't suit his style and he might get his riding suit dirty, but if you can't stand the heat... Fajardo & Cabestany? They have their highs and lows and odd moments of inspiration. Don't know them well enough to comment on how they'd adapt. Dibs & Browny would take to it like a duck to water.
This is just my opinion which is only made as a journo type guy looking in from the outside, but has seen more than many.

I watched it. Fascinating stuff. Northrop Grumman who specialise in Stealth Aircraft Technology took the original and built a replica then stuck it 15m up a pole and blasted it from all sides with radar. The documentary was mostly about them building the replica, but the final result was 20% less radar return. That, combined with the speed it could achieve and radar technology in the 1940's put it years ahead of it's time and it would have been pretty invincible. Even the iconic Spitfire wouldn't have had a chance against something moving at 600mph+
The brothers who designed it were (fortunately) sidetracked by Hitler's determination to hit back at the US by building a long-range "stealth bomber" that could hit New York, Washington and other major US East Coast targets on the promise Nazi Germany would have an atomic bomb by 1946. Their designs for this bomber were very similar to the B2 and whilst it wasn't mentioned in the documentary, I'm not convinced they weren't whisked back to the US after WWII as part of Operation Paperclip.
Fortunately the Allies finished the job before they had the chance to complete that development, but had they been faster in their development then the world today could be a very different place...
It will, no doubt be repeated and it's well worth watching.

I'm sorry you've chosen to take that approach.
There have been many "show us photos of your bike" threads over the years, but they eventually get lost in the archives and unless you can be bothered to search (which most people can't) then they become just another topic, not easily found and not easily referenced.
The "TC Garage" was added to the site to get round that and is an addition that has gone down very well with users.
It has 160 bikes (at the time of writing this) and all sorts of information and pictures of modifications etc with a random bike from the Garage featured on the front page of Trials Central every time someone visits. That could be your bike there instead of hidden away on some Forum topic that will, once more, disappear into the archives.
The Garage even has a "guestbook" facility that allows you to comment on individual bikes or to ask the owners questions.
We also allow the totally FREE upload of photos of both bikes and modifications to ALL so you don't have to use Photobucket, Flickr, Pict or any other photo hosting service. We take the hit on the costs of hosting those photos, the bandwidth in serving them out and the costs of backing them up every night because we want people to show their bikes and we want the TC Garage to grow and expand for the benefit of all.
We provide a dedicated facility to do exactly what you want, it's pointed out to you and you say "I can see why this forum isnt very popular" - Can you show me another Trials Forum that is more popular or offers it's users more functionality?
-
Errr, that's what the garage is for
-
Whilst QcChopper's post may appear in breach of TC Forum advertising rules, I have been talking to the game developers and this is okay.

Can't be a French company. If they were they'd have surrendered to Xispa and be collaborating with them by now

Was in Maui in 2003 and suffering from serious envy here! Beautiful island and fantastic people. Hope to get back there some day.

Did a days flight down to the Grand Canyon from Vegas a few years ago. Pilot took us down over the Hoover Dam. Impressive, but not as impressive as the close fly-past we got en route from 3 F117 Nighthawks, presumably out of Nellis - or maybe Area 51 <insert Twilight Zone music here>
I'm in Vegas from the 19th, but the conference doesn't start till the 24th and there is only so much gambling you can do so I might just follow up on your suggestion - thanks!
Also heard about a shooting range just outside Vegas where you can pretty much choose your weapon and blast the hell out of turban-clad Taliban targets. That sounds like a lot of fun

Aloha. Where in Hawaii? I'm out in Big Island from the 14th till the 18th Aug.

I'm in Vegas for a conference from 19th till 27th August. Anything going on around those parts then?

It is okay to post a link if they're helping out, y'know

We would always recommend supporting Trials Central Sponsors as they help greatly with the costs of providing this website. Their banners appear at the top of the forum pages.

You already asked this here

Good vid and not for the Brown haters at all. He only tells the truth as it is...
