It looks like people are getting individual numbers through only.
Number if you're stuck:
Club Secretary Alan Stewart - 01228 526858
-
Not seen an entry list, just got my number in the post this morning - No 69 I think from memory.
-
Has that removed the chips from any Southern shoulders
Well deserved - not got it yet - can't get it until Friday.
Probably 'cos I'm not in the North

I think some times the rules have to be interpreted fairly. The minder thing seems daft to me.
When I observed at Hawkstone, I kept the minders clear of the section except when catching. I see no problem with catchers being in the section while their rider is in it. I'd rather that than a rider break his neck.
The kicker thing is maybe a bit of a difficult one. What's the difference between kicking a few loose rocks away from the line, and kicking a few loose rocks in to the line.
Of course picking the rock up and placing it is a bit more obvious.
Someone made a comment when I kicked loose twigs aside a few weeks ago, but it seems a bit petty.

TMX doesn't have a massive reader base compared to many sports papers. Only a limited amount they can do I suppose. Brilliant that we have the facility to publish our own reports at all.
When I first started sending reports in for our club a few years ago, I sent an email to John D asking what the best size/format was for reports and photo's. The reports always go in unedited, and the photo's are fairly regularly included too.
Is it the case that the abuse that the ACU used to receive has been built up because of their positive involvement with the DEFRA problem, and the whingers have found a new target for their frustrations
We'll have to wait 'till the end of the week to see what happens with the TMX report
Fingers crossed that you Southern fairies can get some well earned attention.
Could the same Southern fairies please resist giving me a slap at the Novogar round on Sunday - I'm only winding you up (well probably not, but I'm trying to)

Not sure whether you've seen this thread or not:
Ebay Footpegs
-
Hard course, despite the results, constant bruisings and relentless pi*s taking from riders and spectators alike.
I flatly refuse to admit that I'm a worn out middle aged front row fat bast**d with alcohol affected balance.
-
Promised I'd update you.
I've done 3 trials on the new pegs and I'm pretty happy with them. Looking on Ebay the price has gone up a bit, but it looks like it is because the bushes and springs are now supplied with them. There is also options for chromed pegs etc, although I think the original colour looks smart, and it does seem to be true that they look better with age. They automatically get polished by your boots.
I've just bought the snail cams as well, although they're black (ish) rather than the gold colour of the pegs, but I think there are other options for them now too.
I'd like to hear how the coloured stuff stands up to wear and tear.
Good stuff so far anyway, but I'm carrying my old pegs with me for a while just in case.

We had the same problem with Grimbo.
The committee of Northern trials folk decided that we should sacrifice a Northern wench and bring him in to the fold
-
As you can see from my figure, around here we believe chips are for eating, not for shoulders
-
You moaning git
We're Mid Wales - so neither North nor South, but get our fair share of local photo's in there, because we send them in
Have you got a camera?
I'm sure John Dickinson would be glad of some good quality photos of Becky if you have them.
-
Anyone care to give us a preview - Not done this one before. What can we expect?
Cheers,
Gaz

While we're on the subject, we had a situation yesterday where some of the twinshocks rode the white route (as is standard for them at the moment) and some elected to 'rideup' on the yellow route. We had to class the ones who elected to ride the yellow route as 'out of class'
It's never reared it's head before really, or not that I've noticed, but what d'ya reckon the place for the twinshocks is?
I reckon it probably should be the yellow route, but we're going to have to check it out before we maybe change it for next year.
It's a tricky one with the pre-65's as well. One of the pre-65's managed the only clean sheet yesterday. I would ride a pre-65 on the yellow route, as would some of the others (Nick Woolley for example) but it may take the enjoyment away for some of them. I wouldn't fancy lugging a big rigid round the yellow route.
This event tends to attract cubs, the odd greeves, C15, B40 at most though. We are playing safe at the moment I suppose.

Seemed to go well. I can't take the credit for this years event. I went on holiday while most the work was done I just did the gobby bits at the start and the end so get more credit than is due.
I think the total was about 145. We maybe need to hold it to 125 next year and make it enter before the event. It was 8 and a half hours in total. The observers were amazing, but it could have been nasty for them if we hadn't had the heatwave that we were blessed with.
Some people were a bit slow to get round I suppose. I spent nearly two hours observing, 30 minutes stripping a montesa, waited for 30 minutes at the caravan, and still finished with about 30 people behind me.
We've discussed timed starts, time limits etc, but we're right on the edge now of it being manageable so we'll be careful next year.
Had about 50 entries to the fun trial today, which is just a nice amount - it only started out as a practice day last year that we thought may as well be a mini-trial for those that stop over. Sections were maybe a bit tough today for all except the experts - but it will be back to normal for the club trials where we can spend a bit more time 'tinkering' with them.
I did see that Honda - luvly job. He didn't mind riding it through the mud though. You could learn something from him
-
You're right - It was Steve Sell.
I heard Mick Danby talking about those fork yokes after todays trial, so they must have stayed over.
-
Small addition - 125 was Wigg, Ellwood, Danby.
Just bumped in to Ross and family briefly tonight.
-
Glad it arrived OK
Got to go - I can't feed this machine with coins fast enough
Hopefully you didn't just throw it away - the SSDT photos were on it.
-
Supposed to be trials stories, not public school perversions Alan
-
Very sympathetic to your $8 race fuel situation Ringo.
We pay that for unleaded you rotten sod. Look just don't mention it right
-
I may be changing jobs soon. If I do, I need to hand in the Mazda 6 but ... I fancy replacing it with a KTM supermoto . Do us a favour and let me know what happens with your KTM investigations Heath. What sort of price/age are you talking about? Have you looked at the ins and outs of the different models?

I tried something similar (without half the knowledge admittedly), but one of the practical problems I came across was people moving up a class during the year. If you haven't already it may be worth incorporating it.
If a person changes bike during the year, and you update the database, can you still open the original document or will it automatically update the bike etc. (probably an easy one to overcome with the knowledge).
As far as my methods, I stumped for the much simpler one. Just created excel spreadsheet, one workbook for data entry and one which creates a printable format. The names are in a drop down format, but so are the classes, there's no database to reference to.
Mind you, often Gasserboy ends up doing the results, the poor bugger, and I'm not sure he's got his head round my complicated poorly done spreadsheet
Your idea seems to be the dogs danglies. Good to hear how it goes.
P.S. You have too much time on your hands
