  1. I may have misunderstood what you said in bold? But Marcelli didn't ride for the factory team last year, he rode for the Spanish Federation team. His new team, RG Trials is the official factory support team of Honda Montesa. He's closer to riding on a factory team now....
  2. In my experience it's usually an ignition problem, when it occurs when bike gets "hot" after running a bit. That doesn't mean overheating.... Start with a new plug, then pull the plug cap, cut the HT lead and reinstall cap. Try a new plug cap if you have one. Run it in the dark and spray some water on it and see if you get any stray voltage. It could be anything... stator, coil, etc but start at the simple end....
  3. Drill the ball out of your stock cap as lineaway suggests, put it back on the bike instead of the CSP cap, ride the bike and report back.
  4. Enjoy! It's definitely a nicer and more roomy van than the Chevy Express/Nissan. I've driven them as a loaner, while my Sprinter was getting repaired. Keep an eye on the front tires for excessive wear, as that seems to be a major complaint.
  5. No USA Market vans in this class, are available as a diesel, all gasoline/petrol. Already some info out about the problems with direct injection gasoline/petrol engines, like M-B uses in USA Metris.
  6. Friend has a Metris for hauling bikes and likes it. The Chevy Express/Nissan NV200 is much smaller. In the middle is the Ford Transit Connect and the Ram Promaster City. Lack of a real USA dealer network for Mercedes-Benz commercial vans is the downfall. You are buying a van from a luxury car dealer and are sort of a red headed step child. They then want to charge you the "If you can afford to buy, you can afford to fix it" service rates! I have a Sprinter, so am familiar with it.
  7. Mike Komer at the Tryals Shop still has some spares.... http://www.tryalsshop.com/
  8. If Honda thought Toby was the future, maybe they would have tried harder to keep him? I think it has become clearer that Repsol would prefer a Spanish rider, and Honda would prefer a Japanese rider. Marcelli fits the bill and no young Japanese rising star of Fuji's caliber. It's Fuji and Bou for '19. Always the possibility that Busto will make a prodigal son's tearful return to HRC? Toby was a Beta rider before, so a bit of a homecoming. Cabes can't have too many seasons left, so Toby rises. Love Dibs, but he is just a solid top 10 guy, with a possible win when the stars align. He doesn't look like a World Champion in the making, at this point of his career. I'll keep an open mind though, as Fajardo was a big surprise this season!
  9. I spoke to Birkett Motosport, the UK Scorpa Importer and they can't confirm that it is a Yamaha built engine.....
  10. Don't forget a TrialGP rider and a Trial2 rider count for Manufacturers Championship. Having a good rider in Trial2 is important to factories now,
  11. Gas Gas had Dibs do the same thing in 2017. More prestigious than BTC and gets to ride against more top riders.
  12. It's official..... https://www.tmxnews.co.uk/news/trials/toby-martyn-signs-for-beta-factory-racing-team/
  13. Maybe my American English failed me? In Yank talk.... Full Factory Team implies riding for the actual Manufacturer's team, not a private team which may receive some consideration and support from the manufacturer. Rudy Geiser's RG Trial is a private team running Honda/Montesa bikes and pretty sure they have some official Honda support.
  14. Not shocked that he would go for a full Factory Beta ride, from the RG Trial support team. As I mentioned above, Marcelli or Martyn rising up to eventually fill Fuji's shoes.... I'm guessing a Spanish rider is looking better than a Brit, to Repsol Honda? Toby a good fit with Beta, as Dibs is there and he will get super support in the BTC and other home events from John Lampkin/Beta UK. You never Beta might surprise us with Toby on a 300 4T?
  15. Put an aftermarket Jitsie petcock on my 2018 Scorpa 125 Factory and not a drip since.
  16. I'm glad that it worked out!
  17. Contact Mike Komer at the Tryals Shop in NY. He still has a bunch of these he keeps going for customers. http://www.tryalsshop.com/
  18. Canadian Sherco Importer has confirmed that engine is manufactured by Yamaha.
  19. Yamaha builds globally, my TTR125LE was built in Brazil. I'm sure some Yamaha models are built in China. I think a Yamaha engine built in a Chinese Yamaha factory, will be better than a Chinese built knock off. I'll have to try to contact Birkett MotoSport/Scorpa UK for a definitive answer.
  20. If you live in a rural area it's a even longer day with the bus ride. My daughter was on the bus at 6:45AM K-12.

    2019 gearing?

I saw on D6 Trials FB page that Fox's Trials Barn delivered their first 2010 TXT Racing 300 to a customer. You should contact Jim or Travis Fox and possibly they would know about the gearing? Fox's Trials Barn, LLC 9161 E Rt 973 Hwy Montoursville, PA 17754 Jim Fox Travis Fox M: (570) 419-3763 M: (570) 329-6679 foxoutdoors@msn.com D: (570) 435-5366
  22. Anyone know where Sherco/Scorpa is sourcing the 125 4T motor for this bike? I saw a print ad and a vid of Nigel Birkett riding it , and am interested in one for my wife.
  23. I've never ridden a 200, but did have a 240 and 300. The 300 is physically larger and a bit of a pig, compared to the 240. I've think the 240 modified to accept the 300 motor, as a better option to the 300, if you want the 249cc motor. Personally I'd keep the choice to 200 or 240, not 200 or 300. I'm out of twin shocks for the time being to concentrate on modern bikes, but when I comeback to them, I'd like to try a 200.
