  1. There's talk elsewhere on the web of fitting an ATC 200 top end on a TLR200, for different power delivery (more torque) and it has the cdi pick up in the head like the old XL's of the same era, also bigger fins for improved cooling. Just wondered has anyone here done it, if so is it a big improvement ?? Thanks in advance
  2. The slippery slope..... excuse the pun...
  3. I'd stop what you are doing if I was you and before you cause any more grief do yourself a favour and sell the old thing to me...
  4. Judging by the state of the finances and level of debt we have accumulated I doubt they've got a pot to p 1ss in to be honest.
  5. There was a few about, most built by Jon Bliss and using the Jialing Honda copy motor. Not seen electric start one before though. I was going to build one but bought a 125 Scorpa 4t instead.
  6. Re your 270 conversion. I believe they use an IT piston, I had a pinky that had the conversion it also had the shortened inlet conversion that is a common mod with the 270. If you do both be careful who you get to do it as if they aren't done right they ride like a bag of sh*t as mine did. I found a std 250 top end and went back to that.
  7. For what it's worth I would stick to what you like, a well sorted ty mono can mix it with the rest. There are a couple in our local club that do well, just sorted pinkys nothing flash. Some t/shocks have reached silly money recently even TY's.
  8. jonV8 won't want to hear that.... cats and pigeons...
  9. Haven't I seen some pics of a nice red RTL Honda converted to twinshock possibly pictured at one of these events ?? Me on the other hand I should be at South Shropshire trial on my TLR200...
  10. What about the cable up to the bars, what did he say to do with it ?? Mine is still on the bracket up there ??
  11. Wayne Bridge gave his Mrs a replica of his c***k made out of Cadburys chocolate. But she told him she preferred Terrys.
  12. This is usually the case, the vultures have rescued the cream and the left overs end up at the auction. Sad to see someones lifes collections split up some times but that's the way it goes I suppose. The auctioneer also does vintage tractor sales as well and has one in March near by so I suppose they will go the same way..

    Ty175 Majesty

I don't know any better but compare the frame with this frame on an original 175. Other than laid down shocks a tank and fork/mudguard brace I can't see a difference. The late mini maj frame had shorter front tubes. Were the early bikes modded std frames ?? like the 250 I don't know?? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/YAMAHA-TY175-TRIALS-...df#ht_500wt_975
  19. Item listing revised after my posting @ 6.41
