    Here, Gas-people !

I regularly ride my Scorpa, last week there was another in the same trial. Get to Gloucester and there are a few at club trials. Quite sought after in the 175 version. I doubt it was the 125 that finished Scorpa. Granted you won't see them among the stop and hop brigade, not trendy enough. Always a market there, trouble is the pricing.

    Here, Gas-people !

Moto >> News Exclusive Gas Gas Four-stroke Trials 2011 Designed exclusively for the Japanese market the new prototype will be named the Randoner. Thanks to the foresight of Norihito Akiyama who is now the Japanese importer of Gas Gas motorcycles from the beginning of this year, Gas Gas are producing an entry level machine to help get bums on seats, Norihito was the Scorpa importer for many years. He requested that there was need for Gas Gas to develop a new multi-purpose four-stroke machine for the Japanese market and Gas Gas agreed. It has Yamaha's 125cc four-stroke engine which has been modified for the fitting of an electric starter for beginners and ladies. Akiyama has made arrangements with Gas Gas who will ship a prototype Randoner to Japan, and he'll exhibit it exclusively in the Japanese Idemitsu Ihatove event! It is also worth noting the popular ex world championship contender from many years ago Takumi Narita and his brother Ryo are currently riding under the Gas Gas banner. Takumi and Ryo along with their father Shzo will be taking part in this year’s Japanese Ihatove event at the end of this month.

I doubt there will be e/s on it if it comes out, think of all the gubbins that goes with it, and GG know the score. They probably modded a current chassis to fit the motor in and not sorted a blanking plate yet, of course they could have got one off a SCORPA.

    Here, Gas-people !

Same engine as used in the Scorpa 125 4t. There is a market for this if priced right and more so the 200/163cc.
  5. Which is which with the Domino throttle assys. I thought white tube is slow action and black is fast. Depending on whos site you look at it says different. Which is which ?? Thanks.

  7. What does 325 buy nowadays ?? not much, if it was down south it would be snapped up by now. You could always buy this...... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HONDA-RS-ALLOY-SILEN...36#ht_500wt_975
  8. Got to be a bargain for Big John ?? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BULTACO-SHERPA-TWINS...fd#ht_500wt_975
  9. And there is part of the problem, they confuse debt with wealth.... until the sh 1t hits the fan. But the neighbours were impressed.
  10. Tlm's . It is an old video, although there are a lot of old models still available there that we haven't seen for a while. Looks like it was around same time as the Pinky Yams, and we had them up to early 90s.
  11. He's from round my way, can't say I've seen the bike though, mind you if I'd spent 2k and it looked like that I wouldn't be rushing to show it off...
  12. Did you buy the bike that was in the classifieds on here.

Nice looking Ariel Jon. Has the Serow taken a back seat now what with the MHR as well.
  14. Hi, welcome to TC. Your best bet is to talk to your MOT tester as some are not always up to speed when it comes to daytime MOT 's. Some will say a bulb horn will do and some don't. You don't need a speedo for the test but you do before you ride on the road. A rear red reflector will need to be fitted as well. Obviously all other things that come into the test will need to be right. Good luck.
  15. I have an 06 TDI, they are slightly lower than the old shape Caddy, depending on what bike you have the bars may touch the roof(if ply lined) but the bike will go in but needs to be loaded up right as tight on head room. Excellent to drive and good on fuel on a run if driven sensibly, they will pull like a train if you put your foot down....
  16. Nigel Birkett was selling the front plate you want, not sure what year or exact model it is off though. There is also a twin leading set up that fits but is a rare one, off a early YZ I think .
  17. Golden Valley Classic MCC. Open British Bike Only Trial at Tinkley Lane, Nympsfield, Stroud, Glos, sp from Nympsfield to Nailsworth rd. 10.30am. Alan Weir. 07988-630850.
  18. I would say it's not needed on the 200, but if you do need it then I would try to get the 200 set up, if you set up a manual one you may use it at the wrong point and damage something, where as the 200 one will activate in the right place every time ??
  19. I was toying with upgrading from the 125 to a 200 (163) but some say the 125 is easier to ride ?? Not tried a 200 as yet.
  20. You should be able to see the engine size stamped on the bottom of the barrel , it is a t shock DT motor 100 - 175 ?? Could be a road RS engine maybe??
  21. What make of bike is it ?? As Woody said DVLA are a pain to deal with, depending on the make you may get the number from the importer, I did this a few years ago, they may still have records if the bike had a warranty and was registered they may pick the reg up. Things may have tightened up though. Slightly off topic there has been talk of DVLA charging for sorn (more revenue)
  22. No Jon, just bought new house and doing work before we move in. ( Keeping the peace)
