  1. Ebay traders in Thailand are pretty good apparently. A recent M/c mechanics had a report about someone who restored a Cub 50 and bought spares from there with no problems. It's other things you need to be careful of in Thailand i y k w i m.

  4. Yamaha pumps have small shims to adjust them. There is/was a special tool to sort them. Many were set rich back in the day. Your best bet would be remove it altogether and use premix, you can run a leaner mix nowadays compared to when your bike was new as oils have moved on big time. Someone else will need to advise on the mix.

  9. Best bet if they haven't been apart in a long time is to go to a garage where you can use an air gun to strip them. Make sure the allen key socket is a good fit they should come apart easily with air. When you build them back up use coppaslip on the bolt they should come apart easily next time. There were long special tools for holding the inner part in the Yam workshop tools years ago like a square spike end if that makes sense.
  10. Cracking looking bike..... I want one
  11. Thanks for the review Malc. Enjoyed the trial. Need to take a leaf out of Woodys book I think.

  13. Measurement on my Yamaha framed Majesty from centre of s/arm bolt to top shock mount ctr is 11 3/4" as near as I can see. Would be interesting to compare with OTF's std frame which has lowered mounts. Hope this helps.
  14. If you bear with me for a couple of days I will measure my Yam framed Majesty. I have one waiting for a rebuild which is currently shelved in storage. I have a pair of new Falcons fitted to it so can measure it. Here is a taster pre rebuild.. Also you will notice the forks are later mono ones

  16. I bet the 9 quid number plate's gone before the Vic on the 3rd. Unless things have changed I didn't need a speedo when I Mot'd a bike a while ago. But you need one to ride on the road obviously.

  21. Excellent.. Any chance of posting a pic of what sort of 240 Fantic can be had for that price. I do believe they need next to nothing doing as they are one of the best out of the crate twinshocks out there, if not the best. (don't tell your brothers mate though)
