  1. Hey OTF why are you losing a venue ?? Due to a/c monos?? Seriously..
  2. Is it the vivaro and trafic are exactly the same and the Nissan Primastar is a different engine/ box. I am looking at maybe buying a Trafic/ Vivaro due to the low load height I will want to load large road bikes as well. Anything I should look for or avoid. Thanks in advance.
  3. That's correct but some early Japanese bikes were blatant copies of Brit models but they still put the gear change on the other side ?? Also some early japanese models had the gearchange shaft running right through the engine so the choice was there back in the day ??
  4. Does anyone here know why when the Japanese started to produce bikes they chose to put the gear lever on the left instead of the right which was the norm on the Brit bikes at the time. I know it's not strictly a trials question as it covers road as well . Was there a reason for it I wonder ?? I will delete this topic if I can fathom it out. Thanks in advance. (I should know this but I can't remember)
  5. What Totalshell said really. The problem being you have a new frame and old parts bolted to it so when you go through the rigmarole you will end up with a Q plate which you could do without as your newly built treasure will no doubt cost a fair bit and I don't think you can insure other than 3rd party on a Q plate. Best to use id off donor frame and when the bike is built scrap the donor frame. Not 100% legit but best way tbh. When a frame is supplied from Japan there are no numbers on it so it's the same sort of thing really.

You have more chance of seeing a Xispa before you see one of these I reckon......

    Ossa

I can't say it's the case here but a lot of the time the rights to the name is sold off as happened with a few of the old British names from back in the day. Someone may have the right to use the name and have built a bike, the bikes that were built back then and now are really nothing to do with each other except in name. OT slightly but if you look carefully at todays Triumph logo it is slightly different to the old school Triumph logo. Also there is a Norton being produced at present........ it looks like a latter day Commando if you are about 100 yards away, but hey it's a Norton.
  8. None!! PS is the TC clock up the creek ??

    Ty250 Forks

There's probably a reason why it's got gaiters fitted. Mono fronts are like rocking horse **** now as well.
  10. The bike(or one exactly the same) and rider came 2nd in the recent round 7 (t/shock) ACU Traditional trials ch/ship I was observing and the sections were nothing like basic.
  11. I have never had a ride on a Cotswold but I quite like them, I may own one today if the engine wasn't chinese. I think the one below may raise a few eyebrows at certain events, it uses the TY mono engine.
  12. May do, if there's nothing around here. Will speak nearer the time.
  13. You won't see another one of these on the road. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT
  14. 24 I think ? Honda tlr 200. A Morgan.
  15. Well done Jon, my computer will not download the results from GVCMCC, not sure why. I rode the easy route, will move to the hard route at their next trial.
  16. I was riding there today and just realised JonV8 may have been.
  17. Easy because it generates huge amounts of money, from little Johnny wanting the hugely over priced replica kit through the season ticket revenues, the prices paid for so called top players etc etc etc. Then there is all the spin off trash that comes with it. Lots of us remember Kickstart but that was then, this is now and you have the big game shoved down your throat whether you want it or not in one form or another.
  18. Ahhh classic tv, back in the day.... I have the theme tune as my mobile ring tone. How sad is that
  19. Another 12 months and it will be around the 1k mark, a few quid more than a sorted Pinky.(20 yrs old)
  20. Back on topic...... they weren't falling over them selves to buy it in the end
  21. Probably had a good hammering which is why it needed wheels a carb n shock ??
  22. An 09 bike had a lot of new parts fitted already. Wheels, shock carb etc. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT
  23. Up North you want to speak to Birketts, a mate just had a pinky hub laced to one.
