You need to have the yokes machined to take the forks, and if you use the forks you need a mono wheel. A common mod on Majesty Yams. If you were happy with your forks when they were good then re chroming would be cheaper than the mono route, unless of course you already have the mono parts in stock. PS there are mods that can be done to twinshock forks that improve them, I am not up to speed on them, Woody is your man for that.
