    Fatbars

It is made by V-Mar and is sold by lewisportusa They import a lot of stuff so I am sure they would export things too. It costs $189.00 U.S. dollars It is a lot cleaner setup than the adapters on the stock clamps.I got them as soon as I found out they where making them for Betas. They also make them for Montesa and Sherco

    Sy 250f

Sorry ev the WR250F came out before 03, I think it was 01, at least that's as old as I saw in the cycle trader. I have ridden 250f's and I don't think there should be any lack of power in the transformation even for the world round riders The new yzf's start just fine so that shouldn't be a problem.
  7. Don't worry about what it says it works great in any bike..not just Montesa. I'm glad last year they started importing it again to the U.S.A.
  8. agiow what clamps did you use to mount the bars? They look cool as does your black frame

    Bad News For Us

Terry, You sound like Louis Farrakhan when he says the founding fathers where illegal immigrants It was a totally different time and this wasn't a official country with boarders, they came over as explores and yes maybe conquerors and we did horrible things to the Indians but that's how things where back then and that doesn't make it right. It is a lot different than sneaking across the boarder to take advantage of what you can get from a country. The other thing is all the people that work hard and do it the right way and go threw the processes and come here legally all this is just like spitting in their face Yeah, motomickey traffic was nice though they should do it every day wow is this off topic or what?

    Bad News For Us

Saturday was a great trial and we will defenetely miss riding there, we where late to the dinner that Mich Lin mentioned because we just didn't want to leave As for the boycott and immigrant thing my wife and I plan on eating all our meals out at restaurants and we are going on a shopping spree for all the things we have been wanting to get....I hope other people do the same.

    Motocross!

I agree with Mich Lin I still love it I stopped doing it because I didn't like all the crazy big jumps. Saw A guy get landed on and that was enough for me If not for trials I would probably still be doing it. The people sure aren't as nice as trials people though
  12. I guess I missed that conversation at the other end of the table If I am ever checking you or Daniel I won't argue with you about the score...I don't want to meet your Pal
  13. Wow, twelve pages and still going strong. This reminds me of the abortion debate, everyboby gets all wound up takes a side then it gets personnel and in the end it doesn't effect that many people. O.K. here is opinion that I'm sure nobody cares about. We should have 125 classes. Sportsman,EX-Spotsman and Expert. If we need it later also a 125 Pro. Phase it in, the first two years they are open to all ages while we keep the youth classes we have. Then after the two years they would be our youth classes. The classes would be small at first but, they would get bigger, I mean when they made the women's ex class they had to know it would only have two girls. Phasing it in would give everybody time to get one since I believe most people riding nationals get a new bike at least every two years especially the kids since they are hard on bikes Those that ride the nationals also tend to buy new bikes so a shortage of bikes shouldn't be a problem. This would also give people time to get used to it and adjust since people tend to not always like change. This would be more classes for a few years but, just go every 10 years on the SR classes and if not what does nine more trophies cost for two years or is that how we got so many classes, everybody kept saying that? I just think this is the best thing for our kids in the long run Maybe I am just being selfish so I don't have to hear my kid whining that he will have to stay on one when Johnny is on a 280 After saying that I don't think this is any golden road to world domination, as others have stated it takes money, parents willing to sacrifice, good riders all togther, teachers teaching them the right way to ride from here and Europe and I don't even know what else. Even if you have all that it takes a kid that wants nothing more than to ride and work on riding and want it worse than anybody else. I know for my seven year old as good as I like to think he is and as much as he likes riding given the choice he would rather go fishing with Grandpa and that's just cool with me. On the flip side I know this could be hard on the kid that gets the hand me down bike from Dad or somthing but, that kid can ride the Sportsman class and they seem to be about the same as far as scores go. For the Y.N. it should stay open because they don't have that chance and we don't want to keep anybody out. O.K. I've said it.
  14. Ya, I think they would embarrass us "regular" guys Dman I had the same deal with the kids in high school who thought they where all great but, for me fortunately I rode enduros at the time and I finally raced the kid who was suppose to be the fastest one. I was already an A class enduro rider and with my Suzuki RMX with lights and bark busters I blew him off with no problem.I never told anybody since I wasn't a big talker or very popular but, there was enough other kids there that everyone knew Your a good enough trials rider just let a few popular kids see what you can do and it should be all over the school. Boy I hated high school politics.
  15. Yes, All the forks are this way no matter the brand and they do take different amounts of oil

    Which Model

Techno's are the old models they became Rev 3's in 2000. If you have the money buy a newer Rev 3.In 03 they changed to a better air filter setup so if you can go 03 or newer.

    Changing Brands

clarkp, I too go a 06 Sherco In early Dec. after having Betas.I know what you mean sometimes you just need a change..and they do look cool When I started riding the bike I had a real hard time getting comfortable on it.I got taller 5 1/2 inch rise bars that helped a lot and the pegs that are lower and further back. These helped but, still not comfortable, the pegs just always seemed too high even after getting new ones and of course the turning. For that I lowered the forks in the clamps "or raised them in the clamps lowered the front end" and put more preload in the rear shock and that helped a little.I figured more time on the bike was all I needed and I rode it like 3 times a week. The thing was every time I rode another bike weather it be a Montesa,Beta,or even a Gas Gas they felt better because the pegs are lower.I have never heard anybody else have this issue and since you also came from a Beta I was wondering if you felt that? I really wanted to like the Sherco and was going to give it a year since I spent a lot of money on it after I bought it but, another guy got a new Beta and didn't like it because of the quick handling and we ended up trading! Now everybody is happy I did really like the motor, even more after I put on a 9-tooth counter shaft sprocket and Keihin carb. I hope you love your Sherco, must of riding buddies have them and I always get a hard time from them I just wanted to know about the peg height feels to you.

    Bad News For Us

I am a little surprised it happened here since this is like the Motocross capital of the world, all the factory's have there supercross practice tracks here, you can't go to the corner store with out seeing at least two trucks with bikes in the back and there are 4 motocross tracks within 45 min. of me.My point is I thought we would have had more pull with them.Maybe all this riding is why it happened here,I don't know Some of us have talked about getting land separate from the "ATA"thing because we thought something may happen soon, we just didn't know how soon.We have just had light talk about it and now a group of us may just have to get together and do it.Just not in Riverside county.
  22. Wow Alan that is alot of driving,Most events are less than a 2 hour drive for me and the most is about 3 1/2 hours, unless I go up north to the PITS events and then its 6 to 8 hour drive. Yes its about a 3 day drive to Tenn. unless you drive straight thru I still don't know where a stand on this 125 thing,I keep going back and forth on it.There are many 125's around here and I think that here at least there a little hard to sell used. To me there are too many classes at the nationals, every five years seems a bit much.Do we get that much worse every 5 years?Of course knowing the riders and seeing the scores the 40 on up classes are some of the toughest.Every ten years is good starting at 40.They dropped my class "SR 30" and it was a good idea.Do they have all these classes to get attendance up?More guys to chase there own championship?I know that has nothing to do with 125's but,Less classes would make room for it.
  23. Ya, you got to ride thats where the real joy comes from"until you see your kids joy from it"You will also get alot of frustration of why did I do that or why can't I do that. I think a new person would think it was just as cool watching Geoff Aaron as a World contender though,if they never saw them togther and if our guys went to europe we wouldn't see them.
  24. They are not boring! Not if you are riding! They are also not boring if you watch what everybody is doing with there body to do diffrent stuff. There just not big & spetacular like a world round
