Not sure which make mine is but it's the one where the rear wheel half slides thro the towbar bracket and is secured by 2 bolts and the front wheel section just slides into the rear wheel section without a clamp. Mines made of thick stuff (& galvanised) and has given me about 8 years service without any problems.
Probably doesn't answer the question......!!??

Anybody know of any 'try your hand at sidecar trials' day in the future as many years ago (read mid 1980's) i did 3 or 4 seasons driving an outfit (nb. we made the entry list up / cleared the sections / flattered the good riders) and my lad is keen to experience the 'fun' and i really need to demonstrate:-
a. its not easy
and b. its bl**dy hard work
Despite explaining the many cuts / bruises and lengthy repairs due to rolling the thing, he still keeps pestering for a 'go'.
Alternatively, if anybody is trying to 'shift' a VERY CHEAP outfit then give me a shout....

Guess it would be this year or probably never for him. Good to get another name on the trophy. Shame the FIM have messed all the 4 stroke 'compliant' factories about tho. Still, all makes for more column inches and lots of discussion....

LH footrest took a big clout saturday afternoon, 'ghost' trialcast peg 100% & not a mark. Mild steel footrest bracket broken......

I got some too, as BS infers, they do exactly what you would expect, they fitted no problem and look great. No problems so far.....

Ladder goes on the roof also..... definitely wouldn't fit in the car - fortunately it folds right down for transit, can't try it at 90..... but its ok at 75.....!!
You did all know hawkstone area is notorious for snakes (i grew up 10 miles from there)........?? all that bracken.... be a clever snake that can climb a ladder and open the zip... oh and the flying bitey things that are predominent in the woods and surrounding area's -don't they fly less than 4 feet from the ground looking for cow sh**.... oh and is that a dairy farm next to the track and don't the cows graze in the car park normally......??
Hope you all sleep well.
less time putting the tent up = more time drinkin beer......!!

That is something you need to be mindful of........

I've just got this ready for next weekends Motogp, Hawkstone world round and hopefully the next trial where there's a camp-over. Tried it out this weekend and i'm well pleased with it. Very comfy and roomy , very stable and takes less than a minute to put it up.
Got it from www.4x4touring-gear.com

Trying to re-wire a bike with cdi ignition junking the battery & switches etc. Got a wiring diagram but as yet, no spark.....
Found the ignition wire from the generator and it is producing voltage when kicked over.
Found the 2 wires from the pulse from the generator
Connected these up to the cdi box, there is an output to the LT side of the coil but it is less than the output directly from the generator (going to get a digital multimeter so I can measure it accurately)
Question. Is there a way to test the CDI box? What should the output voltage be at the LT wire? Should the voltage be different from the generator and the output of the CDI??

Mate of mine got a montesa 200, when the bike gets very hot (ie second lap into a trial) it starts mis-firing & 4 stroking & cuts out, then v. difficult to start - best bit was, pushed it back to the car and guess what - started first kick....methinks condenser or coil? any ideas? -its had the condenser mod next to the coil.
