Really big thanks to North Derbyshire Youth MCC and Manchester 17 for putting on a cracker of a trial today. Weather was perfect and a great mix of sections from loose climbs/logs/streams and steps set in incredible countryside.
First time I have done the Trial although most of the lads have done it a few times and have always raved about it, can see why now. Dad had a brilliant ride on the 4rt as did young Joe but doubled his score late in the Trial with a silly five. Me,Ralph,Jon and James would have been about the same score mid thirties I hope. 40 sections over a single lap of about 40 miles i think, took 7 hours to complete but seemed to go really quickly, all of us were surprised how late it was 5.30 ish when we got back to the vans. Big thanks again to the clubs and observers, must have been a little cold on some exposed sections. The route marking was the best I have seen, flags just about every half mile or less and no chance of going wrong anywhere Going to have a practice in wales next week ready for the jack Wood on the 25th, just wish we lived an hour or so closer to the area.

Still got me money on Casey winning the title this year awsome 125 and 250 rider and the new 800's will really suit him. Nice to see Jezza putting one over on Pitty and Ilmor a little closer than test times by the look of things.
Bradley did well, mega close in the 125's and hopefully he will really go for it this season.

Boofont, I expect the bike will flood pretty quickly but not 100% on that. Before Ralph got the Dellorto he fitted a long overflow pipe to the carb, it went under the float bowl up behind the carb and looped it back down near the swing arm. He just used a coulple of small cable ties to keep it in place, probably 12-14 inches of pipe to do the job. Sure he said it did nt seem to leak it out anymore. Have you adjusted the tangs on the carb yet?

Hope everyone enjoyed the Colmore today, even though the weather was nt very kind. Time the riders got to me and Dads section at Top Farm they looked drenched and bloody cold but all looked like they were having a good day.
Pete and Wrighty had to make very quick section changes to our Group and expect the same elsewhere due to the rain, but from the look of the riders and scores I know, everything went to plan. I have nt ever observed at a national before and could see today just how much work goes into running such an event, really big well done to the organisers, must have been a nightmare after the rain came down this morning.
Me and Dad had one of the easier sections at Top Farm, lots of cleans and ones, Ralphs was abit tougher though and he enjoyed the day observing. Jarvis was on either 4 or 6 time he got to our section (15) but Dads eyes are nt quite what they used to be and he thought he saw a 5 and a one when he punched the card. (could have been a 3 and a 1 though)
As our section closed we got off to Weston Woods to catch the later riders, Chriss and Dan were making it look extremely easy in the very slippy conditions and to be fair some others were as well. Looked like the sections got worse as they rode so I guess the early numbers may have had a bit of an advantage on some sections. Spoke to a few riders after and they all said it seemed easier this year even with the appalling weather conditions, nice one Stratford

Getting shafted on the first purchase is bound to put you off for ever, dont blame you. As for security, yer you have to be carefull of the spam mails but just never login or reply to any emails from paypal or Ebay ever no matter what they say.
Millions of users world wide, and millions of transactions a day no doubt someone may get lucky with the security measures ,but the chances of getting had over by a hacker are very minimal. I always change my passwords every month, transfer paypal money imediately into a bank account and move it from there into another. If anyone got into my paypal account or registered paypal bank account it would nt do much harm. The credit card i use for registration has a

I've not had any problems signing up to TC Supporters, done it 4 times now for other users, its really worth the ten quid and I am sure many more would sign up if it was easier to do so.
Andy, just a thought, why dont you start an Ebay TC shop if its easier to sell TC products there than on here. The basic shop will cost

Christ Ian, if you dont have any problems with the Mikuni and it fires up whilst pointing downhill leave the bugger alone you must have the only one in the country
If you want to take the risk of cleaning it best to use an air line.
Remove the 4 screws to release the float bowl
Remove the main jet (6mm spanner)
Remove the pilot jet (Very small flat head screwdriver - be carefull turning it )
Remove Fuel jet/tangs/pin
Spray a load of carby cleaner in all the body and passages/jets
Blow out with the air line
If you can blow opposite direction to fuel flow all the better
Dont overtighten the jets or float bowl
If you are unsure which way the tangs go, there should be a letter A stamped on them, fit it so you can see the A when in position
