Did nt see anyone this morning on the ride down or back, only live half mile from work and a back road anyway. Glad I did nt meet a car or I think I would have hit it or fell off, trials tyres and snow really dont mix on the road, may have to do the same tomorrow by the looks of things tonight

Section 4 down the Mill today was a bit scarey

Dad is very upset, think I heard him crying on the phone earlier he is banking on sunny weather for tonight and all the snow to melt by the morning so we can go out Im a bit shakey but at least the bike got ridden today and the reeds got done this afternoon me and dad will just have to go out twice next week to make up for today

Recon we have had about 6 inches of snow this morning, bike was a right handfull down the road, had a couple of big dabs on the way tyres just filled with ice instantly. Worked till 1.30 in the workshop untill I could nt feel my fingers anymore and had a coffee with me old mate Ralph. Spent the afternoon cleaning the carb and sticking new Boysens in . Looking like more snow this evening and minus 8 in the night which will make things interesting in the morning. Had to put off me and Dads Thursday ride up the dishes, first time in months we have nt been out hes like a caged lion today, dying to have another go on his new 4rt. Woman up our road has a 4x4 and when I got back it was abandoned in my driveway, turns out she did nt know it was a 4x4 and got stuck in 2 wheel drive

At least 4 inches this morning, Transit wont get up the hill going to have to take the Beta to work this morning

Allow yourself plenty of time for job, and make sure you are in a good mood to start with it may not last long not had the pleasure of doing one yet but have heard they can be abit tricky I'll ask dad tonight and see what the secret is for you, hes done loads

Mate who gave me the Platinum plug has used them before but said the Plats are better, price reflects it as well

Clutch oil Tried a few Andy, now using ATF, very cheap and works really well, I do change it very frequently though

A mate gave me a platinum plug for the rev3 to try yesterday, the bike definitely ran better than before especially low down but not a huge difference, will probably stick with it for a while and see what difference it makes on big climbs.

ahhhhhhhh dont think he would want me to say hes not me real dad but we all call him that. Hes had a 315 for the past 6 years so not a big change in weight and size of bike the 4rt and yer hes a fit bugger alright, 8 hours of riding today. Both front and rear brakes were not strong at all despite a good clean a couple of times in the day? but he was well pleased with the bike and cant wait to get out next week. He was actually getting the bike to hop around better than the 315 which was impressive, just got to get used to the gearing abit over the next few weeks. I was seriously tempted to have a go on it, but thought better of it incase it was really good, i will have a go when I can afford one

First day out for dad today on his new toy, absolutley loved it loads of grip on the banks and hopping and flicking about just like the 2 stroke. Brakes seemed a bit weak? maybe need bedding in a little but any help would be good if anyone else has had this problem on the new bike? Lowered the gearing a little (43 rear I think) but still abit high, whats everyone else running? Nice to see him on a new bike at last he deserves it, just hope he doesnt get much better on it though

3 times a year Eddie? you cant ride much then. Dump the oil after the first ride out from new and I usually change mine every 25 hours at least, oil is cheap but clutches and gears arnt

Great place to advertise, sold 2 of my mates bikes on here last year for him, both within a week. TMX was a waste of time in both cases
