  1. My little boy doing two wheel hops on maybe the last bike sold. Not quite as light as his Raga.
  2. https://data.mises.org/daily/1929/A-Spanish-Entrepreneur-vs-The-State Aprilia changed directions and Yamaha has always been around.
  3. I doubt you will find one as they were supposed to be sold. Better off to get a bike with support at the nationals, unless you saw the pay out Honda is offering.
  4. The flat side to the bottom of the holder. I usually put the fork body in a vice (aluminum jaws, not tight ) with the seal holder just resting on the top of the jaws so the holder does not move while installing seals. Hope this helps.
  5. Same way as you took it out. You likely are not making it taller. If that helps. Remember the seal holder actually floats.
  6. Parts Unlimited had an adjustable one for 20 bucks. I believe we adjusted it the opposite as the reflex needs more hit. http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/topic/47387-new-bike-in-the-shop/page-3 Part number is in here.
  7. Used JB weld on a very bad fork. Just take the time to make it right. As super smooth. Fork gaiters are perfect afterwards.
  8. I`d be more worried of the adjustment of the chain tensioner. Too tight and there goes the rear hub.

    Engine Debut

More like the bike he has become accustomed too. It`s an instinct we all have!
  10. First thing to do is pull the flywheel and check if the woodruff key has sheared.
  11. You probably need the bike off the ground to spin the tranny to change gears. The cart before the horse. Get it running first. By the way you need to post in the correct forum. Montesa or twin shock. Nobody will come back to help on a 348 under USA. Good Luck.
  12. Replace the condenser before buying a coil. Any single wire condenser will do. It does not have to be for Montesa. Google Southwest Montesa for parts in the states.
  13. I bet while between bleeding and making the brake work you adjusted the brake adjustment. So while riding, the rest of the air bubbled up and wouldn`t you know it the brakes tried to fry! If you did not catch fire. consider yourself lucky! P.S. Change the pads as it is hard to tell when (They are very small) they are worn out.
  14. Jetting between the 250 and 300 is usually close to being the same. It would allow you to know if the carb is your problem.
  15. Did you ever do the carb swap?
  16. I can,t find my parts book at the moment. Two things to look out for. The second sump bolt is the detent for the shift drum which could be missing or messed with. Also since the shift shaft runs through the starter shaft they would bind up from rust and corrosion.
  17. So what is wrong with the transmission as they were pretty solid. Worst thing I ever saw was a bashed case bent so far as not to let the shift drum turn.
  18. I doubt you will find a wiring diagram as info was scarce even when new. And most of the Euro bikes did not follow a color code.
  19. So did it run before you tried the switch? Those were very unreliable, and for trials everything in the states were removed as they were not road legal.
  20. Can`t see much for oil in the window. I never liked the `03. Did not seem to make much power, but it still would rev. Sure the mains are not shot? The `03 is the only bike that left me stranded with bad mains.
  21. Did the engine leak before you took it apart? If not maybe just Yamabond 4 to seal it.
  22. An easier trials becomes mostly mental. People tend to melt down from the concentration and worry. Imagine being Bou and the worry about a poor scorer would be the norm, rather than his great skills. (By the way Bou fived and severely crashed on the section I scored both days. Easy?) Easy trials are not just hard on riders, it is hard on organizers. Try dealing with multiple ties in every class, what a nightmare! On the other hand we tried our first gate trials this weekend. Easy trials cannot hold a candle to the pressure of riding gate trials. A single dab can just destroy all points in a section.(High score wins.) In trials knowing you can just get by with just a single dab makes competition tight. With gate trials you have no easy dab, each dab is just like a 5!
  23. Althespanner is correct. The worse thing was most cases corroded very badly. That could be quite the nightmare.
  24. At the worst the new seal was damaged during installation. Being the right fork I would go out for at least a thirty minute ride, you might get lucky. Also a good ride will tell if the forks are overfilled.
