Without looking it up ,I want to say it could be center cases. I fixed one with jb weld (epoxy) and last I knew it was still working after ten years!

I always loved that bike, but had seen one corroded through. Pull the water pump cover off before purchase. The suspension front and rear was great for a bike from that time. There used to be some great video from jordi torres on that bike!!

Buy the 225 kit for the 125.

The newer gassers actually lube the main bearings from the gear box oil. Dad is more right on this one.

Have you ridden them, the 88 rode like a ty 350 (nothing wrong with that if you want) The `89 was the first water cooled (large) 90 (large marginly better. 91` green theme still big. `92 and 93 much more compact and actually the 94 was the best but now with the new gassers out was considered still bulky. I have owned quite a few, but the `93 was my favorite!

`92 or 93 Aprilia was a fun bike. The earlier ones not! The fantic would be easier parts wise.

80:1 fuel. 4-5 rear tire, 6-7 front. Beta had a good manual with weight versus settings if you can find someone with it.

What I was saying, no one that is trying to be competitive in the upper classes rides one. If you like a well made bike that will last forever buy an old honda. The 4rt will not last as long! Yeah there are a lot of mis- led riders riding a brand instead of what they need! PS I just became an ITSA memeber and my montesa broke with in just a few days! Coincidence? There is only basic info in the manual. Applies to almost any bike, but some info is better than none. Tried to post at work , but this new system kept locking me out. Guess it does not like that I use more than 6 IP`s. Light gear oil, bel ray 75 to 80 wt, Maxima same or good ole 20-30wt what ever. Any way I would pull off the right cover which has the stator on it. Nothing worse than bad mains on the aprila destroying the stator and ripping off the magnets on the flywheel at the same time. Once off give a good tug in every direction on the flywhee,l if if you have movement you have bad mains!

If you are going to hop and ride trials, The Beta. If you are trail riding or a lower class rider just having fun the montesa 4rt is the finest bike so far! I know it sounds crazy to some people, but a stock 4rt will wear you out and the Beta works very well. Now if you could have Bou`s bike that would be a whole new story.

Takes 1 liter. The drain is the allen head. If you removed the bolt under the shifter that was a dedent for your shift drumand the stop for the kick start spring! 80:1 if you want to ride trials. 40:1 if you race trails.

Maybe the washers. Double check a parts diagram.

I thought my reply went through. New web site not quite up to par. The carb needs to be removed and all the jets cleaned out. Th e pilot jet and or choke and air circuit is plugged up.

Yes, put a new plug in. A bp?es whatever will work. Your problem is still more likely the carb. Unless you have an air leak or a worn out motor.

Did the arm break or the knuckle? The knucle off xl350,xl250 can work.

If you rode just a little when you got it, but refueled and went for a long ride the bike would be burning out all the old oil from the pipe and muffler.

Have you another bike to compare to? The little 125 does not make much power to pull other gears up hill. And the miss could be the dreaded 4 stroke cough, you just have to be smooth on the throttle. A lot of people on the 125 geared them lower. And if you have the interest, a 145 or bigger bore kit does wonders.
