Try turning the wheel to the right and once you are better try straight. Once you can get past 20 minutes you will be ready for some advanced moves. First learn to walk up to standing on the seat. Next would be walking over the bars to the front axle for a place for your feet and back to the pegs again. Once you have mastered these there is only doing a head stand on the seat for something more exciting. Some say these are worthless skills, but those people are the one`s that ride no stop events only.

70 PSI sure seems low I`d bet on a stuck ring on the intake side of things. Seen this a lot recently trying to keep my nephews yz`s running. At least it`s a winter project. Might pull my bike out today, just had the snow melt off finally.

Gearing on a gasser is alot different from the Beta. First gear on the Beta was usually worthless, Take the time to try it out, as you already have the spare sprocket.
Yes I know, the same boring old questions but, I have just cancelled my contract with Beta and moved to Gas Gas in a deal worth the 12 hour round trip I'm just home from, so sorry about these questions but I just want to go to bed, wake up and have some answers as I honestly can't be bothered searching....so.....

How much gear oil ?
It seems to be geared for the road (I want it geared for trials) So what's best gearing for it ?
It has a 44 ( I think on the rear) and a 49 spare, what's best ??
Cheers from a weary traveller

Just off hand I`d say it is a 93. The 93 had paoli forks with the gold seal holder. I believe the engine cases were also a gold color. The 2000 had gasgas forks and besides the plastics were chrome and silver.
-
It could be several things.
1. Air in the line. Bleed it.
2. Bad master cylinder (or just a rebuild kit)
3. Have you added brake fluid instead of mineral oil? ruined seals.
4. An air leak. At the banjo bolts and or the clutch line itself.
5. hopefully not the clutch cover.

I am 99.9% sure is not the coil. I can not ever think of anyone ever needing a coil(except the motoplat that had the cdi also). I don`t have the answer to your question.(Without looking it up) But we would all like to hear what you find.

Does not matter how clean the carb is. What matters is if the pilot circuit is clear and the choke circuit is clear. (As in letting fluid pass) Also it sounds like you have a bad needle & seat(the float valve) and / or the petcock is bad. Should usually start 2nd or third kick.

on the stock ty, the peg was to fold up out of the way. I would kick softly or rotate it forward, slamming it into the peg will cause a short life span on the shaft.

Looks like a fun day out, keep it up!

If you have a `07 and his was an `08 that is why. The `08 ran better. Now turnin` the tire trick is only the fresher nobs are now closer to the rubber?
-
I`m not sure being you said that you were new to the sport, but everyone has already done the 1 for a stop, then 2 for a stop with a foot down. Actually the stop with the foot down should never have been allowed, or should have been a three since at that point you are no longer riding.
-
Try and get a used one. Some body is bound to have one.
-
I would of just pressed it off. Why would anyone ruin a part unless you have spares.
-
Try 8 to 14 ounces or most of the way through the `holes`. Taking the weight off completely is quite hard on the clutch and not as rideable. It is worth doing.
-
I`ve done it before. I cannot remember the details but your assembly is backwards I believe. Sorry I can`t give you the specifics.
-
If you have fuel in the exhaust, then the crank is flooded which wets the plug right away. Leave the gas off and remove front pipe to try to remove excess fuel. You need to clean the carb to stop the flooding and a new plug would not hurt.
-
Let`s see you read on facebook that a trial was terribly set,you rant on here about rules, don`t enjoy the feed back, you tell us you are now going to quit because you were raised a spoiled brat. Donate your bike to a kid that wants to ride.
-
Here`s my two cents. The clutch has nothing to do with it starting if the trans is in nuetral. Second if it will not kickstart with fuel, compression and spark the power starter will probably help make things worse. If you have compression and spark have you tried to `prime the engine` directly into the plug hole, with just a little fuel? Or is the engine so flooded already that the plug is dripping wet?
-
You put in the wrong plug. Should be a BPR7es The p is for a projected tip.
-
No,I don`t think you bought the wrong bike. You just need some time to get used to a 4 stroke. Ride a higher gear and quit chopping the throttle all the time. With the 2 stroke you could get away with rapid throttle changes, you will smooth out with more time on the bike.

Yes it`s a `91 with all that green. Last year was a `94 that was reddish orange with black forks.
-
Read your post and you almost have the fix. Something is too tight or he is riding the pedal. Chances are the rod is adjusted too tight. Have seen the same things happen at long distance events or long steep trails whre you are constantly on the rear brake for 20 minutes plus.

I would be so pumped! Let us know how it goes. Has to be the best `new` design in years. Can`t wait till I can ride one. P.S> how`s your friends tranny work out?
