I would not worry about it. Just let the bike warm up good before you ride. In 1995 ALL the new fantics had junk thermostats that there was no better replacements. All the dealers wired them to full run. Never heard of a single problem. I have had to wire many a trials bike to vet it through a weekend event. I dought many a person actually fixed the thermo after that.

Well you thought it did! Too, bad as with a bike that old it could be time to replace the main bearings and seals. A quick check would be to remove the mag cover and tug on the flywheel to see if you have any up and down play in it.

The only Rieger worth trying would be the large body one on the trs gold. But I bet it weighs the same as the Showa.

That would be counter clockwise. How long have you owned the bike? What elevation? Is it well used? Did you change the plug. You have oil. The list can be long.

From fully seated is not the starting point. 3/4 to 1 turn out from where it quit working is what I would try.

A photo would help. It should not be pointed down. Just above level is the normal position.

The weld broke on the shift shaft.

The fork caps come off and the rods come apart at the top.

Yes, they come a part the same as a regular fork. (Just upside down) Remive the dust seal and clip. Pull the tube hard. Several attempts. The seal and bushing will come out together. Just leave the forks on the bike. Remove the fender, brackets and front tire. Actually very easy. DO NOT SPIN THE LOWER BRACKETS OFF THE FORK TUBE! You can and you might be unhappy with the results.

Sounds like the Death Barble. The jet tower leaks. You need to try a new jet tower o ring. You need security torx to get to it. Google below its on adv rider. Keihin Death Barble

Best to try to get a ride on a few bikes. They are right the TRS does have more modern parts than the Beta. And it is easier to work on. But the front end of the TRS tends to wander off line. Actually too light in the front. There is a reason the Beta is the most popular trials bike in the world. It's the most forgiving. We had the first TRS in our club. A 2018 300 rr. Only problem we had was the water pump seals ( and they still have that issue) Oh and we did have a bad gas cap, that happens to all the brands for some reason now. I actually quit in the middle of a trials and put a for sale sign on it. Sold it that evening.. Lol

Ha I tried to fix that post, but I keep getting kicked off this sight as its not well managed anymore. Not just my cell, but my home computer too. I did find a pic that I did put a montess front fender and a gas gas bracket. Never did break the original rear fender and I did try too many times. LOL I already have too many fenders for my 4rt. I will have to start giving them away! Never going to break one of those!

My godson was sponsored by Beta USA. He had it for about 6 months and rode all the nationals. Big boy was hard on the bike, I know the mount was trashed and off hand I don`t remember what fender I had used. I was a dealer for all the brands for many years, so I had all kinds laying around. I do know that I had complete stock spares with correct sticks. Which was all the plastic bits. The guy that bought it, got a great deal. I bought it for a song, Beta USA just needed it gone. By the way, all that is needed on the stock Beta front fender is a set of large washers installed before you break it!

Most trials bikes are hard to find neutral especially all Pro`s. Lots of reasons for poor shifting on a Gas Gas. Hopefully its just a bad top hat. It also might need a new shift shaft. Good luck.

I loved my 2016 Factory 250. One of the best bikes I ever owned. I still see that bike at every event. I should still be riding it. I would have saved 20,000 dollars. Hind sight is a funny animal. The fragile plastics is a myth. I rode that bike hard for three years and never broke either fender! The proper clutch fix is to shim the thrust washer on the pressure plate. I just bought my Grandson a like new 2015. Perfect bike for most riders! Do it!

Also if ypu are a lazy kicker holding the lever down too long, any bike will seem to kick back.
