  1. I do believe that the case here. The earlier frames were not highly polished either, sort of a duller chrome finish. Tank, mudguard, exhaust all different.

    FIRST SHERCO

'01 was a nice bike, yet the mudguards specific to that year were pre finisched and clearcoated and very expensive. Many just put the later years on them, 02-03 or later in silver rather than blue up to '05.
  3. Possibly a 2000, not sure. Zippy has one, see if he chimes in!! What does it look like? I think the "29" in there gives it away
  4. I thought this was of interist! http://www.aircraftowner.com/%20videos/view/americas-first-%20jet-flight-october-1942_1617.%20html
  5. HERE is a link to Trials Training Center near Chattanooga. Call and ask for Charlie, he may have something for you. Look up RYPUSA.com and search in the used bikes list or call and ask Ryan what he may have around. All the bikes are good, some more jikky than others. I usually reccomend a 250 for a beginning rider with some ability.
  6. Ea, yea a bit slow! Must be why it only took me two tries to understand him! Can take me 3-4 on a proper Scot! Mayby never!
  7. Seems I do recall bikes that stopped running due to lack of compression. Kind of a wierd deal and many moons ago, but his numbers do not look good! I figure you could push it through by hand if his guage is working! I have never owned anything like that, and reall only recall one that just gave out!

    Beta Suspension

Quicker is not neccessarily better. You can try 2.5w shock oil, and become a human pogo stick! Or lust put a splash in to keep things lubed, then they are quick!

Because otherwise you do not scar them dipswitch!
  10. So he did main bearings, crank seals, conrod kit(lower end job) and put small end bearing and a ring set init? Bottom line, pistons can be a bit slappy when warm i think this normal, but you must be the judge here. Sure a fresh one is best, but too hard to say. Not to confuse with clutch rattle! I think in the serial number it should say TR5 unless it was built late in '04 and may say TR4 before the last digits.

Sorry but I do not quite understand your post. And also forgive me as I am not quite sure exactly who you are, as I do know many of the NEOTT folks. If you got a bike, then all you need to know is to put the gas where the air goes and viesavie! Lube everything up real good just like everything else and ck your nuts! If you are wanting one, I know where a new 2.9 is at for a right price!!!! So PM me!

    Did you fall off again?

    New bike :-)

'02 was the year they experimented a bit and first gear was a bit taller than some liked. Thusly many changed to a 44 tooth rear sproket or some used the 9t front. Ignition timing was advanced as well, so they ran like scat! Too much for many, thus many have been set back a bit! Still a powerfull bike and very competitive!
  14. Crossroads was better! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=blp7hPFaIfU
  15. Yea, the same as you take off!!!!! But use care as brake fluid hose is different compound from others!

    '07-'09 are all good!
  17. I am not sure this feckstick even knows where Rhode Island is, but he can shread some Bluegrass and Kuntry! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ovbo9yHwgoM&feature=related
  18. I do have a liking for good jazz/rock guitar! Some fellow put this up and I just had to follow this guy, he is good! Figure a goog five for the riders won't hurt!
  19. Not quite sure what you are on about? There is a 6mm allen head screw used to drain the gearbox below the shifter. If you have managed to snap that off down near the threads, then it should be easy to remove once you get the engine out and the cases split!
  20. It's running a tad rich on the pilot jet and you need to shorten that tube on the fuel bung before you loose the vent thingie! Good taste in music though! Cheers! Put more up!
  21. Compression ratios are still quite high in most bikes so 98ron is best.
  22. Eh, keep riding it, they will eventually release, I have seen them take what may seem like an eternity, maybe 5 min, one thing I have noticed is onse you get a bit if heat in the motor and give it some full revs even with the clutch out it may help. Carefull as when it does break loose suddenly you may go over the bars! When I did the Beta clutch mod on my bike, I put a slight diagonal groove in eash contact pad on every disc using a jewlers v-file. Yes this is is tedious, but clutch has not stuck in over a year, no other dressing on the plates surfaces. M2C
