  1. The actual liner is a hard plated surface. It can be redone and fitted to the piston if the piston is still good. Not sure why you would suddenly develop the deep grooves? Anyway, dependant upon where you are located, you may even be able to get an exchange set already done at less cost than new.
  2. And that is why they go over the bars, you just need to know where your rear wheel is! Like this!
  3. You see, DF and I are easily entertained, as there will probably be nothing like it, ever again. Rabie is correct, there is some neat stuff out there. With the new nuke subs, food is still a basic issue, when you have enough power to generate your own O2 out of seawater, it gives you some options. Most of this is still classified info. Yet logic tells that one could stay submerged for much longer if need be. Just look at your space station!
  4. Texas redneck, "I thought his timing was quite good!" Sorry, TFT, yet i must agree with him that the Sherco is still the best high performance 4T out there. Out of the box, it is light , agile and ready! The better the rider, the more he will like it! The new Gasser will be interisting for sure, time will tell.
  5. I think that a bit harsh there Perce, yet only time will tell what the market will bear on a used 4T ov any type. Seems it is not hard to dump tons in a new one of any brand! Have you bought any Honda parts lately?
  6. Caption Contest? How bout, "Hey Phillip, Craig just bet me a $20 that he would win tonight! I'm buying the pizza!" Oh well, Craig gives lots of moral support for the kids! Wish we had a pic after the event!
  7. I am not sure exactly how you have done this, yet basically, using a test light or voltmeter, you should have voltage at one side of the fan connector and none on the other as your tester is connected to earth(frame or motor). If you have a bad earth connection to the fan, you will have voltage on both sides of the two wires. If you have no voltage to either, you will need to backtrack on the yellow wire to see if you have a bad connection somewhere or a shorted wire. The yellow wire should be the input to the thermo switch, when connects to the red and sends power to the fan. Hope that helps.
  8. See the (just) previous post on the Sherco electrics, same principals apply!
  9. We could pit them against your Mens team!
  10. There is a station inside the turrett where you can manually input the basic onformation like the speed, direction, windage of both target and ship that somehow gives you the elevation and direction to fire! Your hot ****e on a gun!
  11. You see these things sticking out the sides of the turrett. These are some massive optical sighting systems. I cannot give great details as the no longer seem to function, yet it seems to me the observations taken were basically run through an anologue computer in order to figure a fireing solution in order to launch a shell the weight of a car and hit a target ! Simple! When you are bobbing about in the ocean!
  12. You are right Jon, the smell just after breakfast would probably rival the john at Texas stadium! Just think about the NEW technology, they can stay down for MONTHS! Nor can I fathom a modern carrier with 5000 souls on board. Makes the mind reel! But the old stuff is what amazes me. No Computers! Well sort of!
  13. C'mon Zippy, it's not his noodle that is broke! It's his noggin! Best to you JR, take it easy dude!
  14. Good job Clive, keep it up! Kip is rather full of it when he starts pecking on the puter, is'nt he! Ha!
  15. You should be able to test the fan motor using a 12V battery. If the fan runs via the battery, yet not on the bike, likely your rectifier is bad as it is required to convert the AC to DC power to run the motor. I suppose you have already by-passed the thermo switch by connecting the wires together directly? Hope that helps.

    Stats!

CHANGE CHICAGO STYLE Body count. In the last six months 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago , 221 killed in Iraq . Sens. Barack Obama & Dick Durbin, Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., Gov. Rod Blogojevich, House leader Mike Madigan,Atty. Gen. Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike),Mayor Richard M. Daley (son of former Mayor Richard J. Daley).....the leadership in Illinois .....all Democrats. Chicago is a combat zone. Of course they're all blaming each other. Can't blame Republicans, there aren't any!
  17. You may both be correct! She is a helluva rider, yet she has a demonstrated reputation for conduct when things do not go her way! Full of fire she is! In need of a good spanking at times!
  18. Bottom line, Dabster. Without TWO of our top guys, Will and Patrick, it will be a tough outing when attempting team scores! It will be good experience for Ronnie Commo, yet I think the course will take its toll on him. He will do his best, as always. Kip is a good team manager, he has a large boot! Best of luck to them! MC
  19. Are you kidding? That guy lost his glove! All that BS about Ringo's knee was two years ago. It is the hemmoroid surgury he is recovering from!
  20. You would come closer to him arriving with a grand than a FULL six pack! Something would get lost in the transition between store ,car and room! Not sure about lapping him, he is nuts! I could'nt do it, but I am slow. If you find someone slower than me, let me know so I can slow down summoer!

    Help

They are fine, should be one of the solutions already mentioned. Only other thing I can think would be a sunken float!
  22. Good job HL. You did it! Although we have not met, I promise I will send at least a fiver if not a tenner if you will please loose Raga's ass on your avitar! This donation will be made more toward AIDS prevention I think, yet you can use it however you like. Just put your own "Fat butted girls" avitar up there on the bike! \ This should put an end to the other problems! Of course , you could be just a 7 or 8, so do what you can, give us your best side! We may actually have to have a few judges for this!
  23. You invoke such memories, Jay! Pity I don't have the old 125 Penton around to teach you young farts a lesson! How does that new song go? I am as good for one moto as I ever was! Maybe?
