  1. OOOOh! Gee Biff, that sounds like fun! Kinda like playing twister with the baby oil and -----, oh well, nevermind! But just like I told the wife, I'm going to Octobertest to ride some rocks this weekend, I don't get near as dirty! Tell Zipper if he hurries up and gets those split crotch panties on the UPS truck I'll still get Pat to autograph them for him. I'll just tell him they are a helmet cover(he is still a minor you know)!!!!!!
  2. And just exactly when do you plan upon contributing anything of interist to this forum, you little snot!
  3. I really would like to make a trip up there sometime. Do you have any fat butted umbrella girls or anything that really cannot be missed? Or should I just get Zippy to send an e-mail to my buddy to kick me in the gonads, take my money, and the results would be the same?
  4. Aye,, nothing there really that cannot be done with mechanics wire and duct tape! I should say that I did sortof like the zip-ty around the swingarm ider that holds the caliper in place, till they came up with the funky plastic rear disc guard that gets in the way of it! Maybe I need to make holes in the POS!
  5. You lot need to keep this kind of crapp off this forum!!!!!! It is about Sherco motorcycles , not religion!!!!!
  6. EVERYTHING, except what is needed at the moment! Did I tell you that you are supposed to use the tools BEFORE the trial! Cannot recall how many i have seen trying to change tires and lube the linkage AT a trial! Oh, amost forgot the nails, tha gasser guys always seem to need them when their footrests are falling off, I sell them for a DOLLAR! 125 Scorpa riders beware, Nigel wants to "lube y'er cable"! ````
  7. Aye, well hard learned lesson there. Been there, done that, and let me tell you, when you stick a 2.9 at WOT, well, things can get ugly quick! Best advice is never to chance it. Don't even start it after washing without a ck! Even just using the hose, no less high pressure! Fact is mine is sitting there waiting inspection, as I got lazy and did not disassemble things after stopping for a wash on the way home from a 2 day last weekend. Got to do it tonight so I can get in a bit of practice tomorrow!
  8. Since Dabster is the "dude" for tires, I should send him some of the"Worlds Finest" Tire Mounting Lube! I think i can get about a 4 oz sample in the small postal box, should be just about the correct size,------------ for PERCE!
  9. Good find Ish, I agree! Never thought you being that, uh, american? Although I will not yet expound on my plan to send all the illegal Mexicans to fight it out for their citizenship, we have millions, you know! No Prob! It is so FU already that I typically have a difficult time picking up your average package, and trying to find the part written in ENGLISH! This is NOT jest! Seems we manage to pay for their healthcare and education as well! Bilingually! Get the F-- out of here! Even the Hispanic Americans do not like them! Bunch of crap!
  10. May be caused by dirt/ water entry binding the slide in the bore. You MUST inspect air filter and airbox(before riding) specially after washing the bike! You may blow water up under the mudguard which enters the filter, then washing the dirt along with it through the filter and ends up lying in the bottom of the airbox. Hit a big bump and it all goes sloshing up into the carb(and motor) and the grit will stick and bind the slide from returning closed. This seldome happens from normal riding, yet there are other precautions for extremely muddy and wet conditions. Remove carb and clean thoroughly, NO GRIT! Wash out the airbox with soap and hot water! Hope you do not ruin your piston and main bearings! I have found that it is mostly best to simply remove the mudguard and filter(and fuel tank) prior to a wash. Block the air inlet and exhaust then go about cleaning the bike. Inspect airbox and clean/inspect or reinstall air filter and reassemble all 4 or 5 screws worth. Good to go! Practice makes it simple procedure, and a good one! An occasional inspection, cleaning and lube with light oil of the throttle tube on the bars is important as well. Hope that helps, cheers, MC
  11. That helps me get a better picture of things, just was not quite sure. Even some of the names of places like Ulster I do not automatically place. I know there is a TDN team and all. Sounds much like our local, state and regional events the way things work, yet the classes are a bit different as we generally ride a morning/ afternoon event with each group of riders scoring for the other. So if you listed the classes from A-F, F(rookie), E(novice), and D(amature) would ride the morning event for about three to four hours, break for a lunch, then probably have to get to the sections to score the PM group of C(intermediate), B(expert) or A(master) riders who scored in the morning! The youth, dependant upon ability, may be scattered throughout the majority of classes. There are several 12-15 yr olds that ride the advanced lines, and of course others up from there. Makes for a full day! As there are few Rookie or Master riders in sheer numbers, the majority still fall in the four mid groups, exception being there are two sub-groups of senior riders, SR Amature(D route), and SR Expert(C route) for us in the over 40 croud! Which are sometimes given Special Splits in the sections just to add difficulty for them! Mostly a bunch of retired experts and such, you know, them old guys that don't hop much but consistantly manage to beat everyones scores! Yea, well I have come to know them well! Tough group! Oh well, that should just about make things clear as mud! Cheers
  12. There is no arguing with cowboy logic. The Sierra Club and the US Forest Service were presenting an alternative to Wyoming ranchers for controlling the coyote population. It seems that after years of the ranchers using the tried and true methods of shooting and/or trapping the predator, the tree-huggers had a "more humane" solution. What they proposed was for the animals to be captured alive, the male castrated and let loose again and the population would be controlled. This was ACTUALLY proposed to the Wyoming Wool and Sheep Grower's Association by the Sierra Club and the USFS. All of the ranchers thought about this amazing idea for a couple of minutes. Finally, an old boy in the in the back stood up, tipped his hat back and said, "Son, I don't think you understand the problem. Those coyotes ain't screwin' our sheep - they're eatin' 'em!
  13. Possibly some of the commenters here have forgotton the fact that inbetween sessions of killing themselves in their own stupid infighting, many of the silly radical *******s would just as well spend their time killing YOU! Where you live! London, Paris, no difference! They do not like you! They are not your friend! Sure thing then, just leave them alone and see what happens! NEXT!
  14. Do I stay with the AMAL or? Although I am from that genre, or whatever you call it, and know nothing about making them things actually work, AMAL was a dirty word some 30+ years ago, go figure!
  15. Word was KTM and Suzuki are mighty p****d at the Trials guys ! Maybe they should have a nimble bike that runs! Similar to the T-ride! You know, something that the average guy could actually sit on, did not rip your wallet out of socket! And you could actually trail or street ride!
  16. And yes, Barry, I did make note in the World Championship column! Too bad most are not accustomed to looking there for US results! All said, they had a great year! Could not ask for much more! As a sidenote, I should add that the majority of the TDN USA team(plus) will be at the Central Regional event in OK, Octobertest!!!, two weeks from now! It is worth the trip for many of you snowbirds, as the event will have ALL classes, so bring your bike, kids, whatever, before you get snowed in for the winter! The exhibition sections for the pro's make it worth the trip! Typically a nailbiter! Add to that, there is already a BIG money event scheduled early next year at the Tishamingo, Rock Creek National site! All classes welcome!
  17. Shhhhhhhhhh! I been waiting for him to try putting 150 psi in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!!!!!!!!

    Sherco Mains Mod'

I seriously doubt that mod is near as important as keeping the "crap and dirt" out of the motor in the first place!
  19. Still waiting on responses from my three expert testers! All seem to be testing more beer since giving up the Stella or whatever that Belgian stuff is called!
  20. This may just be a stupid question, but is there any trials in Ireland? Seem I neve rsee much from them, only the Scots and Brits!
  21. Yep, all that means they aer p****d! I think! Not enough that we now have what is basically a Toyots copy of a Dodge Truck, next you might see a Chineese copy of a Toyota! I relate it all to being "half gay", your wallett or your ass! Which goes first? Yea, I know, just because you took one up the---- well, you know! Buy US and EU while you still can!
  22. For a muddy event, the best thing is still duck tape! Make a "flap"of it at the rear mudguard junction, tape alng the side of the airbox to mudguard, close off holes on top above air intake, and the holes in the skidplate to keep them from packing up! On the '06-07. close off the area below the rad as well! Your bike will love you, takes two minutes~!

    Sherco Jetting

I don't think the '06 engine is quite as aggressive as the '04 bike, but I would think it should rev out nicely with a 115 in the main. 93 pump gas seems to be fine as well.
  24. I was tempted early on to make similar comments, but try 21, shhhhhaaattt!

    Lost 1st Gear!

Everything works basically the same. Hopefully just a bad spring or something, but you will likely have to pull the clutch side for inspection. Internals rarely give problems. The online parts manual has a pretty good exploded view.
