  1. Ok,Ok, first the fuel inlet line. You may need a bit longer hose so that when it comes out of the tank valve it runs either around the clutch hydro line or just near enough to it so that you can use a ty-wrap to loosely support if needed(which totally pulls it away from the muff), then route it toward the fuel inlet of the carb and running just in front of the verticle(slide)area and the verticle pipe. This routing keeps things tidy and also gives you plenty of hose to work with when removing the tank. See pic of the dellorto. Second, the verticle tube(vacume) on the engine side of the carb. Not sure where you have that hose running to, but the thing needs to be capped off. Thirdly, I always run the crankcase vent line under the manifold then up and over, between the fuel line inlet and carb body, then down to the skidplete at the rear. Which then brings us back to the bowl vent, well I done talked bout that and that's all I'm saying except I will tell you that even fuel slosh allowing fuel to accmulate in the line can cause a negative bowl pressure and erratic running. I run only very short tubes on the dellorto to prevent this. Another reason why two is better than one! But as there is no elbow on the K carb? No hoses at all from the factory standard bikes anymore because of these issues. Still not quite sure how the Caby bike comes. M2C ps- the Tygon works well, stays flexable, and lasts, does not like excessive heat of the muff, therefore proper routing is neccessary, not optional!
  2. Hope to see the mens pics up soon, probably too many to count! And is there a way to find the individual scoring toward the results??
  3. Yea Craig, more Okie 3.2 beer! You can drink till you POP!
  4. Yes, quite serious! Or you might just try beating the muffler into submision! Not sure it would not still melt or kink a braided line, can't trust it!
  5. Like a Tiger A couple was on their honeymoon, lying in bed, about ready to consummate their marriage, when the new bride says to the husband, "I have a confession to make, I'm not a virgin." The husband replies, "That's no big thing in this day and age." The wife continues, "Yeah, I've been with one guy." "Oh yeah? Who was the guy?" "Tiger Woods." "Tiger Woods, the golfer?" "Yeah." "Well, he's rich, famous and handsome. I can see why you went to bed with him." The husband and wife then make passionate love. When they are done, the husband gets up and walks to the telephone. "What are you doing?" asks the wife. The husband says, "I'm hungry, I was going to call room service and get something to eat." "Tiger wouldn't do that." "Oh yeah? What would Tiger do?" "He'd come back to bed and do it a second time." The husband puts down the phone and goes back to bed to make love a second time. When they finish, he gets up and goes over to the phone. "Now what are you doing?" she asks. The husband says, "I'm still hungry so I was going to get room service to get something to eat." "Tiger wouldn't do that." "Oh yeah? What would Tiger do?" "He'd come back to bed and do it again." The guy slams down the phone, goes back to bed, and makes love one more time. When they finish, he's tired and beat. He drags himself over to the phone and starts to dial. The wife asks, "Are you calling room service?" "No! I'm calling Tiger Woods, to find out what par is for this damn hole."
  6. Good job to them! Lots of points to makeup, lots of good to look forward to in the future! All said, a great outcome for the TEAM This is a TEAM event you know!
  7. NO! You must remove the hose as there is no space for it! You can also drill out the orface on the other side and run a short hose downward.
  8. I was more wondering about the fat guy in the pic with the Brit womens team. Looke just like Kimbles, aka Tesamon!
  9. Somewhere on here there is the video of the reporter learning to ride, a recent post. They put him on a 4T Sherco '05. Very gentile machine and easily controlled. I must admit that I have had some regrets about not taking the bike Ishy got, although with his insight and ability he has taken it even better!
  10. Never had to replace any if properly kept, not that I am neccessarily hard on them? And yes, you may well blow water right past the seals when using the pressure wash! I can pretty mush make the window on your car p*** on you too if I try! If you fill them with lube, there is no space for the water to go to do damage by corrosion, which leaves only normal wear, and good lube of whatever type should prolong that. Exception being s--t bearing to begin with! And yes, there are bad ones out there, cheap ones as well!
  11. I cannot recall all them stones vs kilos vs lb's things, but over 80 kilo's would do even better with the heavy spring available out there! That little spring may POP!
  12. That is the finest rock magnet I have seen in a while! I am positive that I could find a way to plow it into the first piece of granite that I find! I always did with the highly polished clutch covers!
  13. Subject: Birds and the Bees A father asked his 10-year old son if he knew about the birds and the bees. "I don't want to know," the child said, bursting into tears. "Promise me you won't tell me." Confused, the father asked what was wrong. The boy sobbed, "When I was six, I got the 'There's no Easter Bunny' speech. At seven, I got the 'There's no Tooth Fairy' speech. When I was eight, you hit me with the 'There's no Santa' speech. If you're going to tell me that grown-ups don't really get laid, I'll have nothing left to live for."
  14. Yea, and you would think that if I can illuminate the inside of the trailer all night on a cordless phone battery that weighs about 2 oz, you could keep a Mont running below 1000 revs for more than a second on those caps!
  15. Zipper, if you will put the proper plastic cover over that thing that goes round-n-round, it will lessen the mud thrown up between the legs and into the crotch and eyes. It is not your old Mustang minibike !
  16. Mark I saw that chain, shame on you. You think that chain looks bad now, you should have seen it when the bike arrived, after sitting on a boat in a container, after being put away wet, after last years TDN when Cody trained it a bit for the weekend! The surface of the plates is a goner! I wire brushed it for hours! Still works good though, not worn, and I'm one of those that just use the WD40 after a wash!
  17. You lot are funny, poor Ralphy taking the brunt of it! You see you need a bit of mass to make things work! Take Richard here, one ov the top locals. Shift mass(gut) over to clear the tree and the bike simply follows! Beauty in motion! Traction galore! I just can't do it! Looke more like Addict, trying desperatly to get some grip when I need it! Only exception is when the bike beats me to the step! You go Ralphy!
  18. Surely someone (Atom) can get some piccies and reports!
  19. Looking at the pice closly, seems you got all the right stuff. Possibly just enough warpage in the plastic or something to allow water entry as the differences seem minute at best as directly compared to mine. I do try to avoid direct pressure when powerwashing the wire entry point. If you are getting water entry with simple hose pressure or riding, I would use that dab of sealer in that area and test it untill you are satisfied, or replace the cover if you suspect warpage! The good thing about the newer covers is they have the little flange about most of the outer area which deflects most of the water. Last resort, drill the small 1.5mm hole in the bottom, hell I have seen it for years done on Sherco, Bets, Gassers etc! You don't even want to know what the maggie covers cost for a Yam or Mont by comparison! Cheers,
  20. Waiting on more feedback from Addict, John. Are you indeed that Bliss fellow(highly esteemed)?
  21. Baldi, I was speaking to the local dealer yesterday, If I understood correctly, the prices on the '08 Sherco 2.9 has gone to $6900, up about $300 with the euro rates. A new Gasser is typically only a bit less. I seem to recall the price on the 4T Beta at $8500, and would guess the Mont would be similar. I also seen on the US Beta website there would be a 10% increse in the '08 prices due to the rates! As a referance, I happened by a local Big Brand shop over the weekend. The same $6500 price as an '07 Sherco will buy you a nice new '07 model 650cc Suzuki V-Strom roadburner, $8500 will get you the 1000cc version! As a comparison, I seem to recall the '01 Sherco at $5000 new!
  22. Don't tell him the secrets Steve!
