    Sag Numbers

I like that theory(in reverse). I trials you need more sag because the average bump is bigger!
  2. At 100 kilo, what I may think would be for you to keep the rear spring on as it will/ should settle in a bit, but go back to the stock front. If for some reason you find the front bottoming out too often, there are other adjustments such as the damping, thicker oil blend, and changing oil level height(airspace) that can change the way they react.
  3. I cannot give you Beta specific numbers, yet I can tell you a few things. What is your weight? Most riders do not require heavy springs for the front and may be too harsh. A plus 10 spring for the rear is usually sufficient for heavy lads (100 kilo +). You need some static sag of 10-15 mm or so in the rear min., as things need to float over stuff and get grip even unloaded. Forget about 1/3 rule loaded, as this is not stone. what works and feels right is stone and usually nowhere near those settings. Specially for an average rider. Most my fat lads in expert ride stock springs! And work them a bit!
  4. We mostly ignore that crap. Although I am sure there are both those who abuse the system and those that need it!
  5. If you are stating you want a quicker "bite" when releasing the lever, try ATF of good quality. Progression may suffer, but a tradeoff. There is no minimum thickness as they are self adjusting and either totally smoked or not!
  6. Great job man, let the shoulder rest a bit before going to the axe! You are not too bad!
  7. You either like 4T or you don't. Ride what you brung and take what comes with it!
  8. That is cool, and some tough sections! You are doing great! Unique venue! Post this up in the trials videos section as well!
  9. A fixed hard bar end on the throttle side helps a lot against a runaway after a fall. Not fool proof, but ? Saves the grip too!
  10. Man I love that smell but it just gums up too bad in a trials bike. I'm still on the McDonalds old French Fry stuff!
  11. I hope they did not remove yer DICE? Or disect them!
  12. I like recycled motor oil as I am environmental!
  13. Allways like the blue frame! Would rather my gold wheels withit!
  14. Not being able to hear it, difficult to tell if there is an actual issue here. Sitting running in neutral, they all have some rattle due to the engine power pulses shaking the clearances in both the primary drive gears and the transmission gears freewheeling. This would change normally to less noise with clutch lever pulled which relaxes the rattle on the tranny gears a bit. Placed into a gear most rattle from backlash subsides due to residual drag of clutch and such. Fact rattle subsided in gear is a good thing, however if still in question you would need to compare to others as no common issues here.
  15. Yea, read that discussion, all true! I don't use search!
  16. Sofaking, you are in luck with Baldilocks around! He just needs an excuse to go!

  18. Half priced bike, whats not to like? Buy upon condition! A 2.9 is gonna be more a handful if you are off a 250, so plan accordingly.
  19. Do all you can, I think! You will likely come away with something each time as you start putting things together, and have a bit of fun doing it!
