Anything I should be looking out for, I know that carbs do leak and that Stators go but anything else I should be aware of. Is there a definitive way of ageing a bike, ie frame numbers. Thanks in advance.

Any good? Saw some in BVM the other day and they looked like a good bit of kit. Anyone care to recommend them?

Last night I observed at an evening trial outside Highworth, had a great time as did the 32 riders at the event. It was a mate of mine sons first event and he enjoyed it but found it a little tough. With a bit more practice he will be fine. Seriously wetted my appetite to get back into it. Fingers crossed the E.A give me a job next week so the sacrifice of being a mature student pays off. It was the Swindon clubs event and Gary and Keith and the rest put together an interesting course. Really enjoyed myself.

Aaaaaaarrrrrggghhhhh Cheng Shin tyres tried to kill me when I lived in Perth W.A. Crashed my RS250 on the roundabout outside the WACA. Back tyre just let go and I went from lock to lock for about 200 yards, just as I though I had saved it it decided to grip again and spat me over the high side. Broke my ankle and my wrist. As Paul W said ditch finders, bloody awful vile hatfeul, cursed, attrocious, bobbins, rubbish, crap pants not fit for purpose hoops of woe you could ever put on a bike. rant over. Wow I feel cleansed.

Hey I saw some guys messing about on trials bikes up in Ponsonby when I visited a couple of years ago. Try the Vorb web site it is all things kiwi and mountain bikish. A Kiwi teenager not outside kicking a footy about unheard of. Hope this helps.

Sorry to say that if they want it they will get it. In Bike magazine a few years ago they dedicated a whole issue to theft. They interviewed an ex bike thief who said that the only place he wouldnt go to rob a bike was if it was in someone house. The only reason was that it would involve a charge of aggrivated burglary. This from a bloke who nicked a bike to get home from court. Hope this isnt to depressing
