Yeah it appears they've changed their site around a little. Here's something similar

I used to use surgical spirits to toughen the skin if i'd had a break from biketrials. Wished i'd used it before last years scott but i never though. I used it in scotland and it helped a lot.

I really don't know how to compare it, felt like nothing i've ever rode, really strong on the bottom end but revved really high. I've always liked 280's, find my dads 250 a little soft although i'd soon get used to it. My old 2007 Raga was just how i like a bike but a little tricky to handle at the end of a big trial. Kev's bike felt really controllable but fiery if/when you need it. I'd just find one and get a go. Definitely gets the thumbs up from me and i'd have no doubts about riding one instead of my 280.
-
Managed to grab a quick go on Kev's bike after a trial on saturday, truly awesome!! Never expected it to be that good but it really got me thinking.

Depends how you ride, if I'm out doing a lot of street riding i'll knock it up a few gears over what i use riding natural
-
Competition everytime for me. Wanted to ride the Midland Centre trial but it clashed with the Dave Rowland. Did that effect entries? Spoilt for choice!!

Its the second time i've done it really, but they have lingered on a while due to me failing to stop and rest it fully. It doesn't really give me any huge problems and i don't really suffer to greatly with it, i managed to ride my bike last night for a demo i had pre-booked. Ideally i'd of liked to rest it but, like a true trials rider giving the pay cheque back would of hurt a lot more than my wrist did. Its my job dealing with rehab etc so i tend to work on myself anytime i get 5 minutes between clients and have never felt the need or use of any brace due to lack of flexibility etc.
I'll try and find you some more tips out and do a list if everything i do to speed up surgical recovery as well.

Scaphoid exercise chart
Hi Alexei, Have done mine a few times and did it again last sunday with a few trips over the bars. I tend to do a lot of neuro-muscular work around the area to maintain movement patterns and stimulate blood flow. The bone tends to heal slowly due to a lack of blood supply im my opinion so anything you can do to increase it usually makes a big difference in my clients healing times.
I'd guess that theirs a lot of trials riders riding round with a similar issue but just putting it down to a sprain.
Good luck

Stretching the Hip Rotators will help with the stress on your knees
Stretch 1
Stretch 2
Stretch 3
I use all these before doing my bikes displays, without them i do 360's no problem. If i want a 720 i have to really switch the muscles on using the second exercise/stretch.
I'll try and get my head around explaining how to do it on a motorbike but like most things its probably easier learning it on a bike!!

I'm defiantly missing it now, but, i think overall I'm more suited to a 280. Loved my Raga but it had its good/bad points like any bike i guess. Felt it made me a little lazy. In a normal trial it would go up anything (occasionally without me ) even if you left things a little late. Simply had immense power all through the range. On the downside, in trials like some of the Novagars and the Scottish it was probably a little to much as most of my effort was spent controlling the bike towards the end of the trial. Made the decision to go back on a 280 to give me back a little bit more control (hopefully), would love to have tried the 280 RAGA in comparison.
Got caught out a fair bit at the weekend using the same rev's that i would of on the RAGA and i simply had to learn to ride the 280 more aggressively. Am defiantly missing the Keihin so it's the first thing on my shopping list.
-
Not sure, rode saturday and sunday and they felt no different in their action to my old bike. Rode quite a few steps at both trials and did and hours practice after the trial at Bracken rocks and was happy with the way they rode. Didn't get chance to swap my bars yet but will give them a few more trials to bed in and then compare them with the ones on my dads 250.
-
Wouldn't mind trying a set of those out. Looks like it says Marzocchi on them...!?
-
Its not hard, they tend to set out a good trial. May see you there. Think its
-
No my Dad picked the bike up yesterday so i never saw it till he brought it here. I'll give them a try and see if i have any issues with them and then start asking what they are. No defiantly no Marzocchi stickers anywhere.
My dads volunteered his forks, should i need them! Thats what Dads are for
-
Was just expecting it all to be sorted by now, theirs no real marking on the legs other than a part number on the inside. Feel a bit odd but then my bike i've just finished with has done SSDT so the forks felt pretty good. Will see how they feel this Sat and Sunday and swap them with my dad's 08 250 ones if needed
Have just stuck my guard on them but i'll get a photo at the weekend and stick it on here.
